I think that the trick in an interview is to goad the interviewer into asking whatever you want to him to ask you. My interview started with the routine "tell me about yourself". The questions that are asked in an interview are on the basis of whatever you write in your cv and whatever you speak about yourself. So the questions followed accordingly and we discussed the fact that the crr had been changed the previous day of my interview and other financial topics like inflation. Had an Extempore on Globalization in the 2nd round and my GD topic was Poiliticians Private Life is not the Public's Prerogative.

My topic for Gd was something related to nuclear weapons-whether they should be banned or not.....we had vandita ma'am for our Gd.for my 1st PI,we had Mr. Roy,he asked me about the answers i had written in my form and basic gk questions like the chief minister and foreign minister etc.It was quite pathetic actually bcoz i didnt knw many of those answers.the 2nd PI was excellent wherein i had to speak for 2 mins. on "Professionalism in Management".Hope this infor helps...

My GD topic was " CAS (Conditional Access System) system a boon or a bane". It was good but a rare topic.. Not everyone knows abt it... So it is very important for ppl to have general knowledge or else it becomes difficult to come up with points.
The first round of PI was a normal interview where i was askd questions about marketing as I had done BMS and my specialisation was Marketing and also was askd questions abt my job...
The second round of interview was an extempore speaking where i was given 2 minutes to prepare my speech and talk abt it. My topic
was " The financial sector boom in India"..
The aptitude test was reall easy but this year there is no aptitude test... Hope this info is of some help to all....

My topic for GD was "Should all the educational institutes be controled by government OR not"

i dont remember who took my first PI, may be Subramaniam Sir..he asked me about my extracurricular activities in my under grad..
Second PI was taken by KT sir, he asked me sumthing abt HR and my career plans and also gave me an extempore; i dnt remember the topic...It was cool

My topic in GD was The Prince Episode ( falling a pit ) and its coverage by the electronic media.
People were aware about the topic, but it required some in depth understanding too..
The questions in the first round of interview pertained to my academics, regional politics, and some questions on my job and why MBA!
In the second round, I was asked about certain aspects of my job.
The written test was easy

Finally we had the GD ...
The topic was "Abortion : Good or Bad "
We all were guys so we were given the choice to choose some other
topic but we sticked to the same...And we had a good 15 Min
discussion...

thnx dear for ur reply i want ask about stipend which is paid by companies for summer placement . what is the minimum n maximum amount paid by companies n for general information what is the timing of college means regular time n what about there faculty i think sies having only 60 students capacity through CET so how they manage them? can u give me some more detail information about that plz reply bye tc

Delhi will now be an official center where the admission process will be conducted ..

The venue and timings are yet to be finalised..

Hello,
My interview started with the routine Tell me about yourself. Ater that they asked me some questions based on what I had filled in the application form. Be prepared on the same questions which are asked in the appl. form. Then followed a couple of questions based on current news.

Extempore topic : Should India spend on defence..... arms & ammunition. Dont be biased on one side in an extempore......look at both the sides......if u are given such a debatable topic.

My GD topic was something on Indian education system and tie-ups with foreign universities..........cant recollect it now.

1.First of all, placemnt process for MMS and PG is same.
2.Stipend depends from company to company...there are companies which pay almost 15000 stipend and there are some who dont.Its the same in any college u go
3.Faculty is mostly common for MMS and PGDM,
there are 60 MMS students
120 PGDM students
60 PGDM-Pharma and 30 PGDM-Biotech Students
We have a mix of core n visiting faculty as well as corporate interactions
Today we have VP Marketing- ISPAT coming
I didnt really understand what u meant by managing them?
4.For MMS u have to wait for CET process.
5.For PGDM, the forms r out, they have a seperate admission process for CET,
LAST DAT FOR FORMS IS 1st MARCH.
U can get it from any IMS center,SBI branch or SIESCOMS Office.

Apti was very easy!!!

GD topic was something related to Indian cricket(cnt recollect exactly) so everybody pounced on each other as was a easy one to screw it.

Guess PI was interesting
First session was wid Meera Mam wherein i was asked to do an extempore on The current retail scenario and its threat to the kirana stores. (Felt.....Wow my territory, lets capture it!!)

Second session was grilling which really sumtime made me feel tht M outta tis college. It was by Roy Sir. Here it goes.

1. Tel me about urself?
2. Why MBA?
3. Your interest?
4. Extracurricular Activities?
5. 5 management Gurus? (I could tell 3 or 4 and thot was loosing grip)
6. Weight of a Season Ball - I sd tht i use to play cricket. (Blank.....Felt tht stand no chance over here)
7. Revenue Minister of Maharashtra (Wow made a solid comebak)
8. Commerce Minister of India
9. RBI Governer
10. Governor of Maharashtra

So It began with a GD wherein we had to discuss about "media intervention in the celebreity life"

from there i had an offhand on "inventory"
yes, its just that, I remember very well and Nitin Sir evaluated this one for me.

and then the PI with 2 of them [I still havent bumped into them ever since that day]
and the grilling started,

1] About your family
2] About schooling, graduation?
3] Why SIES for graduation?
4] Whats is your dad's turnover like?
5] Why then are you doing an MBA?
6] Why dont you join your dad's busines?
7] I wouldnt have ever left my fathers EXPORT BUSINESS and invested my time here,Why U?
8] Would you be working with your dad or elsewhere after this course?
9] A bit about profit calculation?
10] Whats your take on marriage?
11] How far do you see marriage from now?
11] What do you expect your life partner to be[ trust me, even i was stunned at this one]

my GD topic was "the current indian economic and political scenario"
in my first round PI i was asked about current affairs i.e what was in current news the tata deal the mittal deal etc.they also asked me what i knew about SIESCOMS , some stuff on my hobbies etc
in second round i was asked about the difference between public and private sector banking since im a banking insurance student

I wanted to apply for SIES PGDM fro this year, i will be appearing for MAH-CET.
Now as i read in the SIES tread ther is a separate Aptitude Test for getting into PGDM.
Can u tell me when is it going to happen or has it already hapened.
Which GD-PI experiences are the seniors sharing out ther in the SIES thread???

Plz clear this doubt of mine
