@ Anmol: two of my friends got thru.... see am not justyifying or anything, just feel that the system shud be more transparent, nor am i pin pointing....

One of the two had a 65% in 12, and a KT in final year BMS and around four months of work ex. anotherm, has had a First class in 12 as well as TY and one years exp. in government services.

if u saying that the institute differentiated between candidates on the basis of their profiles..... i think this was not an extr-ordinary profile.

yes, there is a possiblility that the college differentiated between the students on the basis of the marks scored in the written or the GD-PI!!

Any which ways, am gearing up for next year and dude, do keep us updated about the college.... ur studies, presentations, corporate interactions everything. It a HUGE motivation to try harder next year after the dissapointment this year.

anyways, all the best to all the guys who made it this year and even to the guys who didn't.... we gonna be back with a bang!! cheers!!

and guys who got thru.... hope to see u'll co-ordinating our admission process.....

I completely second ur thoughts...infact I myself wasnt able to clear the thing last yr...u know it bro..i told u earlier too right!!
Initially I also tried finding flaws n faults ...
But my friend the bottomline is that either u get it or u dont...
over the period of time I realised that this one yr gave me sometime for self introspection n development...n this yr the same Anmol was having a name in the first list who cudnt make it in the three lists last yr!!
I really appreciate ur attitude man!!abt taking things positively...Trust me in the long run this is what takes u ahead in life!!

What can I say..as I said earlier...I'm only giving u the possibilities abt what cud have happened...n i think its purely logical...
I'm sure u have had a look @ the cutoffs of the top colleges in mumbai in general category..well heres the link...

Colleges like Somaiya,Welingkar,MET,Chetanas...needless to talk abt JBIMS n Sydhenm all have closed abt 150s and late 140s...
So all i am saying is...when a person is nto getting in one of these colleges n made it to a respectable institute like SIESCOMS...atleast I wudnt have left it..

About the management seats I really cant comment cuz i dont know about it..as far as my knowledge goes..u already have 11 seats or something...which is pretty big a number..
A college also wants quality n i'm sure the alumni n students r proof to it..
infact u remind me of a similar situation in Welingkar thread..the debate over management seats n all..

N as far as your graduation from SIES is concerned..trust me...its an add on..there r so many...almost 25-30 people in our batch who r SIES alumni..

Sorry if I was a bit blunt..but then I think I am only here to clear the misconceptions of aspirants..

nd let me be frank nd honest
first of all let me tell u tht i was literally crushed nd squeased in my pg entrance for sies nd i didnt make it
nd in cet i gt into sies
so i hv both the gud nd bad phase with sies
abt people sayng abt management seats, boss money talks, nd it happens in all the colleges, (nd i can tell u by my experience, visited a lot of colleges nd today they dont even fee ashamd 2 admit tht)
abt the pg exams, dude admit it its nt in ur hands, they pick students who they thnk is capable, because they r the best judge, n so u cant be a cry baby abt it,
i was literally grilled by my questionnaire regarding accounts as if i hd done a doctrate in insurance nd banking
bt u cant do anythng abt it, its plain luck
dude i knw its hard on u nt gettng into a institute(even i hd given exams like snap, cat, n.m, fms,xat)
so u see its plain luck jst work hrd nd u may get in to a gud institute may be even a better 1 thn sies

For management quota get in touch with the officaial of the college

the best way is to meet the registrar or the director along with your parent and tell them you are throughly interested in taking admn thru mq and how much they would charge for it.
If the ans comes negative i mean they say it will be done later on or drop your score card we will call you later still put pressure on them to tell about money matter and if possible again meet them next day along with your parent

this is the best way to get in the college via mq in Bombay esp as Chetan , MET, Sies, Welli, Dallmiya etc.

I kinda agree to what he has to say.....there is no point looking at agents for the admission process....u can directly approach the registrar....

Also wrt the previous threads...........lets not brood over the allocation of seats...it is at the discretion of the college....i agree to what Anmol has to say.....and anyways i vouch on the fact that SIESCOMS is way too ethical compared to the other colleges on these grounds.....the fact is that there are very few people coming in from the management quota in my batch.....A large Majority or say almost all come in coz they prove themselves..... as selection is at the discretion of the college...lets discuss ways of getting here rather than brooding over lost chances........

ok coming to the point...
Well all i wud like to say is each n every student at siescoms is competent , eevry student has a lot of talent ... AND any institute be it SIESCOMS,mdi,Nirma, GIM,JBIMS,Sydhnem or anyone
guys when the college is good and has reachead a respectable position they wont just fill up n number ( seats ) thru management quota

finally the students have to be polished and presented to the corporates
so each institute does want every student who has some basic acumen ...
hard luck if a few of my frnds cudnt get thru but we need to see sies is growing and with competition getting intense we need to pull up our socks and act fast and work towards the future with CAT round the corner guys lets focus ...after all LIFE is beautiful and we have a second chance so just go for it and crack it
