i got a score of 132.. nw da ranks r out.. n my mumbai unvi rank is 1555..
wht r da chances to get thru in sies.. frankly are there ne ??

anothr thing..ther;s sum state level rank also gievn..whats actually considered in our case ?? da atate thing or da mumbai unvi thing..?

anmol.. vikram.. help out ! ..
u hav no idea how badly i wanna get thru in sies.. ill probably b puttin it..in da first 3!

In our case its the Home University merit number, like anmol said, last year the univ merit ranker no. 467 was the last one to get in to SIES MMS. So this year it might be nearer that mark.

Sorry to be a bit direct but with 132 your chances seem to be a bit slim right now for MMS (If you have not filled up the Minority form for MMS). Plus this year the cancellation rounds have been cancelled by DTE, so really cannot say if you will make it.

Last year the Cutoff (after CAP round 1) for General Category students in SIES MMS was - 159 (home university - merit rank - 467)

And for Minority, acc to the college office the cutoff last year was around 143.

As to the Ratings perceptions would differ from person to person, for some one who lives in the Western Suburbs and wanting to Major in Finance, would prefer to go to Dalmia. I believe its upto us and the rankings are in our Mind, finally its the hard work that counts

Hi there.
a bit sad but this yr rankings have been real crazy..I mean with 96-97%ile anyone wud have imagined to make it to SIESCOMS...
but sadly the ones with 140 have gone upto a rank 1000...
I guess 1555 wud be pretty difficult for SIESCOMS MMS unless yea Minority (which is a bit dicy @ this rate..)

well one thing i'd like to tell u guys tht more than cutoff marks...its the ranks that matter...
Also after WElingkar/Somaiya...people mark their options depending on their specilization /convenience
eg:my frenz who wanted finance for sure went to Dalmiya over any other like MET/Chetanas...

As far as SIESCOMS goes..I personally wud rate it abv others cuz of the promising placements for all specializations...
