Hi guys,

You wanted to know the list of companies coming to our campus this year.....
Well this is how it goes ..... We've had TCS,KOTAK GROUP, STANDARD CHARTERED, HSBC, CITIGROUP, HDFC, EDELWEISS CAPITAL, ADVENTITY,AVALON, SET DISCOVERY, SATYAM, HCL,ORACLE, PANTALOONS, RELIANCE GROUP, FCB ULKA ETC ETC the list goes on .... We've had more than 60 companies coming to our campus giving our students good options to select from....Our average as earlier mentioned is 5 lacs per annum and the highest was 10.25 lacs per annum.....Which was in a Mumbai based IT firm(cant disclose the name)......Its a lateral placement of my senior....

As per the previous questions based on ranking and authenticity..... we still hold ourselves at rank 5 in cet colleges.......After JB,sydenham,kj and welingkar......This is debatable and confusing for a lot of people as SIES does not Spend much on Marketing itself or say creating a brand....We are better of spending on the development of the institute and the new initiatives taken by us.... The corporates consider SIES a very good college and that is what matters as long as the development of a b-school is concerned.....Please visit :: S.I.E.S. :: after a few days.....the placement details will be updated.....

you will have to give out test regardless of your score......frankly it is very easy.....looking at ur score in mat i think it should not be a problem...It is better that you concentrate on gd/pi/group pi...you can also try for mms ....dont give the cet test... give ur mat scores for cet as they accept mat scores .....the only thing is you will have to appear for cet gd and pi......

i just mentioned the placement details in the above thread....

Fees for my batch (PG) is 1.5 lacs per year ie 3 lac for the whole course......There may be changes for the next batch......but not major changes though.......

Interview can be anytime ... ofcourse in daylight....

Hi Raheel,

Not so much of a difference frm othr b-schools considering that plcmnts ave da same names everywhere, u shall know soon, 1 lateral does not establish any special nature. Apart frm tht what marketing are u talking about? Jb, Pumba n Sydenham do not do any kind of marketing but still are some of the best b-schools we have in Maharashtra. U guys are very far away frm these 3 in CET. Now if u say that u guys r doing gr8 ths really good as we needed better schools in mumbai apart frm the likes of existing ones and its gud to know that u guys are doing good and corporate likes u.

( PS - Plz stop random ranking, its not allowed on PG)

Still waiting for that 2 'international' plcmnt details, after all tht should have a salary of atleast 15-20 lacs whn converted, are those details also gonna be put up or kept confidential for reasons known to u?

one lateral mentioned means information on the highest placement and nothing else....I thought i was being informative......jb,pumba and sydenham do not market themselves but just to remind ya.....they have been existing from more than 30 years approx... our college started in 1995......when i mention no 5 cet colleges means in mumbai....i thought that was implied....One more thing i really cannot mention the international placements details as i am not supposed to... just coz i know a lot more compared to my batchmates related to placements does not mean i start blowing my horn before my college discloses details and to mention again please visit :: S.I.E.S. :: ...placement details to be updated soon........international placements(dubai) do not get converted to 15-20 lacs coz i already mentioned the highest is 10.25 and hence has to be less than the highest......

I think everybody's very keen to know about the GD-PI and written test.
My bros!! this is straight from the horses mouth.
It was feb 21st 2006,warm weather,the trains were on time.
The time given to me was 2pm.The whole process takes about 3hrs only,and i tell u SIES is very puntual and systematic.
As raheel said,the written test is very easy if u had studied for CET,its so easy that u'll come out smiling,but as soon as u realise that everyones smiling..u'll stop smiling ,so the point is- its VERY easy..
My personal suggestion would b gear up up for the GD-PI.

TIPS -
1.Read newspaper daily,especially the financial news and the world news.
2.if u have an experience, review what u had done in ur job projects,dont exaggerate on that as sometimes u generate questions for the interviewer through ur extra blabber.
3.lastly make sure u r confident about what u have written in ur forms eg.hobbies,projects,activities etc,review all that bfore the interview.
I had 2 gds and 1 PI,the process may slightly modify this year but not much.
A group of 10/12 students would b given a mentor(i may b one of them & he/she will guide u through the process.

The process is smooth!!..

Apart frm tht Chetna is highly preferred in recent years and then follows MET. SIES as of now has been somewhere in between Chetna n MET...on n off. How do u consider urself as 5th when u still have a long way to go? Who did u displace to become 5th and by what achievements? Plz do not cite magazine rankings as a criteria coz major b-schools in CET sometimes dun even feature in rankings (including JB PUMBA n Sydenham). Apart from that I heard a quote on international plcmnst...thts news, can we have some details on which International companies hit ur campus and at what package n profile?

Justification :

KJ plans to get out of the CET and become autonomous and this year is, in all probability, going to be the last MMS batch....

PUMBA has placement figures almost at par with SIES ( check to confirm if u have a reliable source ), moreover PUMBA is in Pune and NOT in Mumbai...

That clearly gets us within the top 5 CET colleges in mumbai...
