wht difference wil it make if i apply thru cet or cat??
m a fresher wth a decent record of extra-currics..
PGDBA or MMS, whch is better??

1) No info in any of the websites may it be somaiya or welingkar can be wrong. ppl will drag them to court.
2)u have got correct info abt salaries, fees as well as infras abt both the places. but believe me friend, construction is going on for the bettrment of the infra in the long run, isnt it?
3)none of the colleges is worth leaving, that is both are very very good colleges.

Now its up to you to decide u wanna be in a college whos infra is more appealing or which will promise u a fatter salary check....of course money is not everything so neithr is infra... hence decide your priorities and go accordingly.

go by the college and not the name of the course. both are flagship courses of SIMSR. so take watever u get among the two. many ppl have many opinions abt takin MMS as its masters unlike diploma etc etc. many others say u shld go gor PGDBA as u get a diverse group of peers frm all over India.

Those inside the institute like us will always advice u to take up any of the two. For summers as well as laterals, all the students walk in to the selection process togetr

im very sure about the cutoffs friend. see if tapmi gives a call at 85 %ile, it doesnt mean that its substandard, there the calls/seat ratio must be higher than kj. For that mattr welingkar calls every1 with atleast 70 %ile in cat. gotit. i know 89 is high, but u see the competition is also gettin worse right...

If u closely look at the statistics anywhere in any magazine or sites of any coaching classes, in most of the cases u will find somaiya ranked ahead of tapmi.

sorry forgt abt the salaries queery. freshers get salaries as high as 12 lakh(sumtimes more), so don worry. thats the reason y im here
average salaries must be atleast 7 this year uptill now as against 4 in colleges like tapmi.

i just heard that last year there were two rounds of HR recruitments as the students optin for HR were much lesser than the HR companies lookin to recruit from somaiya. yes if u have a post graduate work ex of more than 22 months u qualify for HR( or any other) laterals. Avg salary is not even a rupee less than marketin finance systems or operation guys.

2)About Work ex. certificate, My company issue us a certificate on INFOSYS letter head with the signature of the required official printed and not in INK, does attestation means the signature inn INK?
3)What specialisation IS KJ having?Does KJ have Finance/Systems?

here are ur answers:
1) Upto 12-13 lakhs if ur workex is more than 22 months and in a good company ( as in your case)
2)your certificate is perfectly valid. don worry abt it.many of ma frnds here in simsr are frm infy.
3)marketing, finance, systems, hr, operations.

hi, i m akash, just wanted to know is there any course related to international business for which it take the score of iift and if is it there what is the cutoffs for it. and one more thing what was the expected cutoffs for the cat.

i wants to know abt PGDIB course in KJ SOMAIYA.how to apply for the course i have visited the site but didnt find anything related to it.i have given IIFT and itwas mention in prospectus that KJ SOMAIYA is accepting the test scores.

HEy me too have same query"SIMSR" people havent mentioned anything abt the mode of addmission to MIB course altough IIFT prospectus says that SIMSr will be accepting its score...
any body throw some light...
