All you wanted to know about KJ somaiya institute of management studies(SIMSR)

hi ppl,
i took admission to pgdm IB. yes i was very sceptical abt the course and its placements and real worth. i went to college many times, met people on campus, i also happened to know one of staff in administartion there, from all that i came to know follwing points
1) calls are given to next best ppl after pgdm general batch
2) course is as good as pgdm and after aicte approval its much advanced and better
3) placement is along with pgdm and stands equal good chance
4)brand simsr
i confess i was not so happy whilr taking the admission after trying for iims and missing iift by half mark, also after not converting mica call but i dont regret it either.
i was so damn worried but after all this info i m feeling confident, so if ur satisfied with somiaya and not lloking for top ten like iims,iift, fms,xlri, u can definatly take a chance,

and i heard it on pagal only,LETS MAKE OUR COLLEGE BETTER, so let me know ur viws

i too have taken admission into the IB course. But after sending the DD, which they received and confirmed on phone, i havent received any formal instructions mail as such. on fone they told me that my seat was confirmed and tht the course was starting on july 30th but no formal email as such. wat about u? and yeah even i wud want to know abt the hostel facility and all......

Hey Pooja i got offer for PGDM-IB course.Howz the placement, average and median salary offered, which companies come for placement??

could you please tell me if you have ne info regarding that...if placement is along with pgdm course then whats the diff between two courses??

hi guys.i have just come to know abt the retail course.can any 1 tell me how is the course and how r da placements and i think that pantloon is also a part of this program so does that mean that all the students will be placed through pantloon.

Hey seniors!

Do I need to apply separately for the hostel programme? And what is the procedure?

As you can see I am not making any assumptions here and would like to know it all. However this is what I have gleaned. I want to verify my 'facts'. I learned that:

You need a DD of 60,000 in favour of "SIMSR Hostel Account" and when you submit you can shift in.

OK. Now you tell me.

called up the college today and they said the same thing. on the first day you need to submit a dd of 60k in the name of "SIMSR HOSTEL" to them so that the room gets allocated to you immediately.....

the guy who picked up the fone said tht this info was present in the offer letter.....but its not there......so he confirmed on fone tht this is the process.....

request you guys to confirm with the college again......

Phunny. Because when I asked the guy he said, DD in favour of "SIMSR hostel account". And I said, "SIMSR Hostel?" And he said, "No, SIMSR Hostel Account".
