Hi Anupam,

There are many students in our class who are able to cope without a laptop.
But beware... Case study approach is used at SIMSR and you will often sit in college till late in the day to discuss these cases.
In such cases it really helps if you have a laptop.

Also having a laptop in subjects such as Mgmt Info Sys & Research methodology aids in understanding as you can try the stuff being taught right at that moment.

I suggest that you wait till you join and decide for yourself whether you need one.

I personally was totally against a laptop when i joined but two months down the line... I went for it Now its indispensible.

It even helped me get rid of my desktop at home (Lot less space reqd)

Welcome to SIMSR
Last year our college started during the first week of august(as per shailina it started on 2nd august)
