Transfer Certificate is for those students wanting to go for further studies.
Once you pay the fees at SIMSR..they'll give you one form..get it signed/stamped from the college you passed out. And sumbit the same back at SIMSR...

Isn't it the same as your Leaving certificate(LC) from where you graduated??? Coz I have my LC.

No it is not. Leaving Certificate is given to everybody but Transfer Certificate is given to only those who go for further studies and when that particular course/degree comes under the Mumbai University ...like here MMS course.

I had gone to Somaiya yesterday(16th) for my admission
I have got admission thru Gujju Quota
Here is the list of Docs u are required to submit for admission thru GLMQ & DTE as well
Take 6 photocopies(atleast 1 set shud be attested) and the orignals and along with u
I wud suggest dat u arrange the orignals as well as the 6 sets of photocopies in the foll order itself
1) One latest Passport size photograph
2) CET Score card
3) DTE Allotment Letter (Printout from DTE website)
4) SSC Marksheet & SSC Passing Certificate
5) HSC Marksheet & HSC Passing Certificate
6) Bachelor Degree Mark Sheet & Degree Certificate(Convocation Certificate)
7) Transfer Certificate (Candidates Graduated from University of Mumbai)...u will get an application form for this from Somaiya itself which u need to give to the college from where u Graduated and get TC from there
Migration Certificate (Candidates Graduated from other than Mumbai Uni)
9) Provisonal statement of eligibility from Mumbai Uni, Kalina- for students who have graduated from other than Mumbai Uni
10) Caste certificate (if applicable)
11) Caste Validity (if applicable)
12) Non Creamy layer Certificate (if applicable)
13) Domicile Certificate
14) GAP certificate on 100 Rs Stamp paper and Notarised (Format available on this thread- refer to my previous posts)
15) Proforma F (Pg No. 29 can be filled by PH1, PH2, PH3 (Orthopedic Disorder)
Proforma F1( Pg. no 29A ) can only be filled by PH3( learning Disability) Candidate
16) For candidates who have changed their name/ or in whose name there is a difference in the certificate shud give an affidavit on Rs. 100/- Stamp paper (notarised)
17) GLMS Affidavit on Rs. 100 Stamp paper (for GLMQ candidates only)
1 Vasti Patrak (for GLMQ candidates only)

I dont know about GLMQ students...but others dont need even a single copy attested if they have the originals with them.
