@Deepa Sarin

Well i think the final decision will always be yours no matter how many views you take.
I'll just tell you my scenario.
Given my marks(144) i stood no chance in JB, sydenham, Somaiya or welingkars.
I may or may not have got Sies, Met Chetanas, Dalmiyas in further rounds.
My though process was definitely i'd rather risk my all in xaviers than in trying for a chetanas met or dalmiyas because personally i know where xaviers will stand 2-3 years from now.
I had been to the college twice and met many students who were allocated xaviers and know for sure that xaviers was their 6th ,7th or 8th option in the form.
So they definitely prefer this institute over many established ones.

Anyways all the best for further rounds.

New college is a risk i'm willing to take, i feel there isn't too much of a risk involved here anyways.
Today i met another guy who has preferred xaviers mms over wellingkar's pgdbm though he has 2 years work-ex in M&M.
I myself have 2 years work-ex in TCS.
Course fees is highest and the course is rigorous with 13 subjects in each sem compared to 10 of other colleges.
Cannot comment on placements as you woulds have to wait another few months for honest details.
BTW the cut-offs for management quota(12 seats) is 97 percentile in CAT or XAT.
So assess the situation yourself.
Hi Prashant, Hi rahul,
Prashaant, firstly I would like to congratulate you on your decision to join Xaviers...I am the guy who gavwe up the Welingkar PGDBM seat for Xaviers MMS. I am sure it is a decision I will not regret.. No doubt it is a risk joining a new college; but look at the advantages, barring Mumbai no other place on Earth thinks highly of Welingkar. However the brand Xavier is very much sought after. Their decision to allow only students of the open category and not minority + backwards is commendable,...no other colleges has done it... I am sure within a few years Xaviers will be among the top 5, probably the top 3 too....but as of now I am solely interested in the academic side of the college. I am here to learn. An initial pay package will only help we in the short run..Its the performance that will eventually matter. I am not asking anyone to join the college, but as per my experience in M&M, whith what my bosses have told me, Xaviers is a better bet than Welingkar....The rest is upto you to decide......
All the best.. Hope to see you'll in college...

Regards,
RButhello

jus one thign from my side..some one said he din get a clarification for the 90000 balance..even that day i had called up the office to inquire fees..the lady was reluctant to tell fees...she asked me my seat number, name and details..finally i told i heard fees r 1,60,845..she quickly said yes and hung up the phone..this thing has certainly created a stir in me....y it has the highest fees....i called up around 15 colleges to ask fees....no college has fees above 1.5 except xaviers i guess...
