i hope this will clear the dillema. You will get opportunities and recognition being a symbiosis institute and if u perform sky is the limit.

hi,
i am a student of SICSR. we tried our best to keep u update about every aspect of SICSR on the thread of the institute itself on pagalguy. i found a query here in and thought to add on my views. well, no company likes to take liability. it is perform or perish.when u talk of return on investment our institute fulfills it. By incurring the cost of 1.5 lac fee; you are inturn getting jobs of 3lac per annum. job profiles offered from the lowest level to highest level:

software engg.
Business Intelligence
Business Analyst
System Analyst
Business Development Manager
process consultant
QA auditor
QA manager

@pankaj_nayar

That guy asked for a neutral view on this thread and I said what I felt. So you dont need to do any explaining to me. I have nothing against and for your college. So just chill

Try IIMM,its a pretty good college and now with their new campus coming up at hinjewadi near the IT park,it sure is gonna go places.
Their gd/pis are held all over india but now most of the centers are done with their Gd/pis.
Only bombay and pune are left.
you can register on the spot.
visit iimmpune.com for more details.

If ur a non mah candidate then u dont need to appear for CET, MAT scores will do,however u still need to fill up the form , the last date for which unfortunately is long gone.

Gulshan,
Pumba is very good its the best CET college in pune.
But keep that as a last option, try to get into jb,kj somaya or sydenham coz since these college are in bombay they have a location advantage over pune and salaries for kj somaya and sydenham also tend to be higher than pumba.

I am not very sure abt the overall cut of but I think it was around 141 for an oms candidate, you should get more info on this on the CET thread.

I second that nikhil.
Will all due respect to SICSR,the problem with specialized IT courses is that most of the time the kind of placements u get is pretty similar to who you would get straight outta engineering colleges.
Also, these courses are too specialized unlike a general mba u cannot switch streams.
And no 1 becomes a QA manager or a project manager overnight, you dont need to do a pgdbm in IT to become a manager in a IT company, its ur experience that counts,so even if you dont have a degree from SICSR and r a BE or MCS you would eventually become a tech lead or a proj manager, ofcourse,it all depends on ur calibre.

Trust me when I say that coz I work for a software company and none of the proj manager or QA managers here have a PG in IT.
