Yes I do stay in Pune and I am also giving CET. I know the major institutes only who conducts there own exam. And the dates are over for them.
Work Hard for CET thats all I can say.
One more thing if you have a job than if possible you can opt for part time mba also from symbiosis.

I will also be completing my 3 years of work ex in Aug 08. And I am giving exams from last 3 years to get some good college. Now as i gain more and more expereince my thinking goes like why should i waste my valuable work ex in a college that is best suited for freshers.
Dude these are purely my thoughts. It depends on you very much. if you want to pursue MBA anyhow this year only that go ahead with BIMM. Else study hard and crack soem good colleges next year.

Dude I will suggest you not to opt for that college if you think you can do better next year. Also there are many better options available if you have filled CET form.
Wonderful thought. Even I have been going nuts with this issue. But to my bad luck, I wud want to shift my domain and get in to consultant rather than cribbing daily infront of computer.

It wud be much helpful if i get to know how gud is BIMM?? Please do put in the facts buddy.
Mainly worried about the placements

BIMM is a good college. I have some of my juniors studying there. One is placed with 5.5 lakhs package and he is a fresher. I also heard that LG and accenture came there with offer of 8 lakhs but they took only 1 or 2 students only.
Ovreall a fresher with average performance is fetching somewhere between 3.5 - 4 lakhs package. While a experienced person around 5+.
You have the chance to get good package if you outperform there.

Note: This info was for BIMM and not its allied colleges.

Hope this info helps

Thank you buddy.

I am specifically looking for Operations at BIMM. How good is operations at BIMM and the placements. Can you elaborate on this. I am B.E in Industrial Engineering & Management. Most of the subjects covered by the colleges are calready covered in my BE.

Looking out for domain change so the choice of college is atmost important now. I hope you are getting my concern.

Buddy Swapnil,

Good to know that you are nearing to 3 years of experience at work. Congrats!!! Believe me each year the story takes a new turn and we have all the plans going ruined. I am thinking of changing frm IT to manufacturing sector. I had enough of it at IT. I feel creativity gets restricted in IT field.

I have 1 year of experience in production side, where there were challenges everyday...but at current work (2yrs)in s/w testing at MNC work is more monotonous. You cant keep changing the job for the new challenges. So decided to do my PGDM or MBA this year... as one of my freind was getting the CAT i too filled it and with nearly small time preparation managed to get 67 score.

But the main thing is, since the market is soaring high its good to get into what you like with in this time and gain good exposure.

Operations will not fetch you a good package than I guess. As far as the trend which i noticed in most of the B-schools placement is that mostly the person fetching highest salary is from Marketing or finance. And average package for these people are also good than other courses.
For more information you need to speak to students of BIMM or you can mail the the contact persons given on there website to get exact info on placements of operatiion branch.
