Pankaj,
I dont really agree with you.
IIMM is the best amongst the 3.
ICTM is good but then you'll end you specalizing very early in your career,so it isnt a very good option.
ICIB,although it provides you with a pgdbm in IB,the course is very similar to IIMM with an extra stress on IB.
You could rank the 3 insti just like the way you rank SIBM,SITM n SIIB.
ICMHRD is very new, this yr would c its 2nd batch.
ICMC will have its first this yr.
Their course content, their names are all very similar , not to forget a lot of their visting faculty.
cheers,
frank.

Thumbs up Guys dont close your eyes to other colleges - 31-01-2006, 11:11 AM

Hey everyone in Pune,

I have been an observer on this thread for a little while now and was waiting for the XAT results to be out before I made my first post (I did not want to sound biased)
Now that the XAT results are behind us I think all that remains is your MH CET 2006. I would just like to draw your attention towards SCMLD, where I am a part of the 2\junior batch and Frank has been in touch with me for a long time now.
We have had our process in une in the first week of Jan but Mumbai process is happening on the 5th of Feb and I would like to inform you guys about the institute.
We have had good placements for our senior batch and the avergae salary is 3.2 lakhs with highest being 6.9 and lowest being 2.2, both these are also important to gauge the performance of the insti.
Also our summers have begun and the placements are very promising with some of India's top companies making their presence felt at SCMLD.
Everyone is already aware that the inputs at SCMLD are unique and very extensive both in terms of academics (we have the best faculty in Pune) and Non Academic (Vippassana, Out Bound Learning, Workshops, Guest Lectures, etc.)
All i want to say is you guys can travel to Mumbai for a day and give this institute a shot and experience the process. It will do you no harm as you are also having your CET to fall back upon.
I have purposely refrained from comparisons with other institues in Pune as that is something which goes against our ethic and we dont believe in comparison. We have our results to show to everyone who is inqusitive and wants to make an informed choice.
Bye
Take Care and All The Best.

Talking Re: Pune...which colleges to apply... - 02-02-2006, 10:57 AM

Hey dude,
Our institute is 20 months old. It was started by Prof. M. S. Pillai who is the Founder Director of SCMHRD and was their director till 2004 (totalling 12 years) The institution is funded by alumni of Prof. Pillai and it has a unique admission process. We first put our students through 2 GDs and then there is an immediate shortlisting. After this there is a Written test and Psychometric Analysis. All this is completed on the same day.
Our college has a very rigourous schedule with morning workout and yoga sessions. We also have daily meditation, Kaizen and compulsory Library hours. We believe in the concept of experiential learning i.e. learning through experience and that is why all of us attend a 10 day Vipassana camp and go for Out bound learning programs.
If you are from Pune you are most welcome to meet up with me and ill perosnally show you around the campus. Also our process is in Mumbai on the 5th of Feb, Sunday. and you can apply on the spot without any hassles. You just need to carry 4 photographs and 1050 Rs. for the form alongwith your marksheets right from Std. 10
Also you can PM me or email me and ill get back to you asap. If you PM me ill send you me cell number also.
Bye
take care
Pranav

Hope I answered your queries
