The preference is given to people outside Mumbai. Only rarely does it happen that one or two places are vacant after accomodating everyone from outside Mumbai. In that case localites with their residence at a maximum distance from the college are given priority

Okay.. I know this is really late.. but I was just looking at some of the photographs from this year's Holi and thought that it definitely merits a mention here..

Before joining a B-school, I had heard that 'life is hectic' and similar rhetorics.. little was i to know that even on festivals.. i would be sitting in the auditorium for a lecture..

but that was the way it was meant to be.. there we were.. on the Holi of 2009.. at 7 am.. at the Institute.. for a marathon lecture.. (for the uninitiated.. a marathon lecture is 6 hours+).. thankfully.. the lecture was by someone who makes attending classes so much fun that i would rather sit in that class than play holi outside..

and then.. as luck would have it.. in the next lecture.. a surprise quiz!!
there i was.. sitting in that quiz.. cursing the moment when i decided to do MBA.. but as for all quizzes.. they come and they go..

the real fun started after we were done with all lectures.. everyone had come prepared.. and as soon as we came out of class.. at 5 pm in the evening.. out came the colours.. this continued to Marine Drive and then to the hostel where the seniors were waiting for us with colours and buckets full of water..

one helluva holi.. one holi that i will never forget..

as of now.. have and exam tomorrow.. and for 10 days after that.. and then will be going for my summers..

but we will keep you guys posted.. stick around!!

continuing from where i left off in the last post..

the fortnight of the exam was.. well.. to say the least.. like a thunderstorm.. there were some bolts of lightning.. torrential rains.. and then some drizzle too! all in a matter of 15 days..

and then.. as soon as the exams got over.. all of us headed for the summers.. since our institute starts later than some of the other colleges across the country, you don't really get an off between the 2nd sem exams and summers..

so.. here i am.. in chennai right now.. mid-way my itnernship with ITC.. its been a really hectic month.. with another month to go..

the city is taking its toll on me.. its extremely sticky.. i had thought that after a year in bombay i will be able to survive here.. but this place takes sticky to another level altogether!! and the language.. especially the rickshaw drivers are a big pain..

anyways.. looking forward to the following month.. and then joining college after that..

secondly wat is the conversion factor if one wants to apply thru mat...im asking this because my bro got 99.7 in mat but wen converted, the percentile dipped a lot...
thirdly cet has marks for 10th n 12th scores n work ex too right???
