Life at ubs seems to be full of enjoyment with a mission to attain knowledge which is both rational and practical and which enables you to rule the corporate world.....it all started with the orientation Program at UBS auditorium........during this we come to know that why UBS is rated best in Intellectual capital......infrastructure is great......placements are ecxellent.......but there are certain rules that rules the world of ubs..like we have dress code which is compulsary on decided days..75 % attendance is compulsary....Uniform is compulsory on wednesdays and on all formal functions .....2nd half of wednesday is for activities (various clubs activities).............with so much in the pipeline....we r now ready to rock the world..... | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to mba@4444 For This Useful Post:

hi
There is a news about UBS,chandigarh in today's indian express....The link has been provided below...check it out...Formal Fresher party is on 5th august http://cities.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=140514 Whiff of UBS fame catches South More than 25 pc of first-year batch of UBS students from southern states.Payal Pruthi Chandigarh, July 22: WITH more than 30 students from southern states enrolled in MBA, MBA (IB) and MBA (HR) in this session, it seems that popularity of University Business School is fast sweeping south of Vindhyas.
Of the total 150 seats in the three courses, around 25 per cent have been filled by students from South. Adding olive shade to the B-school, four serving Army officers have also been enrolled. Last year, there were no takers for the seven defence-sponsored seats, but this year, four officers on study leave have decided to also learn to fight boardroom battles. Talking to Newsline, UBS chairperson Dr Satish Kapoor says this is a healthy trend, as earlier students used to head south for professional courses.
‘‘The department is becoming more cosmopolitan like other reputed management institutes,’’ says Kapoor, adding one of the pull factors has been the institutes attachment with the CAT and its placement record. He says that this year, the number of students with an initial job experience has also witnessed a rise.
First-year student Unnikrishnan, who is elated to be at UBS, finds North Indians ebullient and cordial. ‘‘Travelling is no problem now because of the Kerala Kranti Express,’’ quips Unni. Mallikeswaran, a second-year student, says brand name UBS is popular in South.
The four Army officers are excited about this new ‘academic posting’. Unable to hide his happiness, one of them says, “We have joined this course so that we could explore other job opportunities.” A hive of activity
Faculty members have started gearing up for the placements for the year ahead. Instead of having one placement officer, a four-member committee has been formed, which will be headed by a coordinator. The placement brochure has already been prepared and the formal fresher party of the department is on August 5.
