There are two books by Philip Kotler:

1. Principles of Marketing
2. Marketing Management

In my opinion the second one is better

start from the basic

read Jack Trout's
"A genie's wisdom"
written in a way so that even a person who has never heard of words like Branding, positioning, mrkt, pricing can clearly understand it
moreover it is not at all bulky

Doing what I can --- Being what I am

loved by some, hated by many, envied by most, yet wanted by plenty!
