Am new on this thread...
I have work-ex with KPMG(7 MONTHS), PWC(4 MONTHS), ROTHSCHILD(12 MONTHS) and JPMC(10 MONTHS)....that I guess is way too much of WORK Ex for me!!!! now i am confused as to whether i shud pursue an MBA or an Exec MBA at IMT????? Becoz i heard tht the packages for Exec MBA is sky-high(18-20 lacs), whereas the other one is just normal(12-14 lacs).... Also, I would wish to work with a small time firm post MBA, since I have had my fill of the 'Biggies'....But being a top league B School, i wonder if I'll get the opportunity to work with SMEs or would i be forced to take a Day Zero I bank or consulting company???? This is a dilemma i am facing, and would kindly request the others to enlighten me on it??????

So your total work-ex comes out to be 33 months, if I am not wrong. 33 months is not too much work-ex, as many in our batch are over 30 months work-ex (me included). Yes, some SMEs and companies who are in their nascent stage also visit the campus, with lesser salaries but interesting profiles to offer. You have the freedom to join the companies of your choice, you are not forced to join any company.

And you are not eligible for exec-MBA, as minimum work-ex required in IMT (and most other colleges) is 5 years.

Man! Some experience watching India's run-chase on the tele in the mess this evening. Great atmosphere!
The target was 350. Sachin was flowing today. He rolled back the years! And did we respond or what! When the little master started unleashing those boundaries, the din got deafening and it kept growing as more and more people kept pouring in till almost half the college was flooding the mess. Dinners lay forgotten
We shouted ourselves hoarse, tables took a major pounding,window panes shook. People standing on tables to get a glimpse of the action! :gm
It was 'Passion' all over again!

Although it was a sad end as we lost the match by 3 runs but still had a whale of a time. Thank you Sachin for that magical 175!

And its time to get back to the world of classes, quizzes and exams...mid terms from next week

Heard you guys have an awesome mini golf-course and Olympic size swimming pool? Its been a long time since i've tee'd off!!!! Also, heard that there is a very active committee/club life there....
Can u tell me the list of nice clubs/societies to join in there?
Also, heard that all your faculty are usually Harvard, Columbia, Wharton pass-outs???
That has gotta be one helluva B School to be in!!!!!!

Heard u guys have an amazing 100 acre lush green campus, with separate grounds for football cricket and 3 basketball courts as well.... also have heard about the legendary "Chakka-vuh" tournament thats held every year, for continuous 100 hours or something....Since i am a gifted athlete, having won numerous track events(like 200 mts, 800 mts, 5000 mts, etc.) I hope i can win some laurels for the great institute....Also i wanna try pole vaults and hammer throw or javelin throw???
