hey sanjeev u r rite dude abt the seniors....they really rock...we cudnt have asked for a better start....seniors in my lobby ( D1 are very friendly n supportive....thanks guys n we promise to reciprocate it.

well life at IMT is adventurous, fun and a complete learning experience...i m enjoying every bit of it....the morning sessions....the afternoon sleeps ...the evening hangouts n finally the late nites pdp....havent touched the books so far though...actually thrs no such pressure of studies rite now...but then the coming days wil surely b different....looking forward to all the learnings fun n experiences ahead....LETS ROCK!!!!!

Guess what.... after the late night( or shall i say early morning) session of GD, Iam all fresh and raring to go.. surprized??? dont be! 'cause our curriculum this trimester provides us the opportunity to have a course called CAM( Computer Application in Management). Well the prof is great... takes lots of pains to explain things but some buggers like me find out a cozy corner in the lab ( preferably close to the A.C and in the last two rows) and go to sleep with the computer screens making sure that we arent exposed to the ruthless world of sleep tormenting lectures. so... yaaaaaawn(ooops!) I always look forward to this lecture.
And just in case one is all up and ready to study, the lecture is full of quality gyaan on comps and is garnished well with imaculately pronounced words of the computer jargon:wink: .

SAAD (lonewolf) and me wre in the same batch@2.30 am.got some topic fr the gd lik"people who can, do, people who cant, manage"/v made up a lot of bull****.but it as sensible bull****.it was very surreal too b walking arnd @ 3in the morn with formals.

but it was gr8 fun and kudos to our seniors who had 2 sit thru all night listening 2 meaningless chatter frm us.yeah i too slept thru cam class,near the ac,the screen covering us fully.

My GD happened to be at a more saner time of 1:00 AM. It was fun going there, all dress up in formals. The topic was "The more we change, the more we remain the same". It went pretty well. I had a bit of a cough frm all the rain we r having @ IMT, which didn't help my performance. Time to get some sleep, now that the day's classes r over.

hey guys.. i hav a diff opinion on d alcom process..
yaar i had d stres interview at 5.30am!! i was so stretchd out dat i cunt even hear d questions properly, i hope i get some consideration 4 d same 4m d comitee members while i m being assessed.
2nites interview was cool, realy d opposite of yesterday wen i was 2 aggressive out of frustration of d 3 hr long wait i had 2 do b4 i got my chance..
neways, i dint catch ne nice sleep n got caught in d bc class.. mam was furious 2 say d least, mere chakkar mein bechare mere dost ankit ko bhi daant pad gayi!!
neways, i think its a part n parcel of our future life, n i thank d seniors 4 givin us a hel lot of practice 4 d same... 4m wat i gather 4m alumni speaks n senior talks, is dat sum fine day v mite have 5 hrs of sleep d other dreadful day v mite not even get a chance 2 sleep at al..
so its hats off 2 d seniors... even they were uptil 6, i stil cant figure out how do they keep their energy levels so hi, inspite of d hecitc schedule at 6am!!

Hey ppl!

Guess what Iam talking about.... its the ever confused guy who runs the Georgia coffee bar at night in our campus. Mr.Jha has the special ability to get confused over the simplest of things,be it the order for some snacks or the payment of money.And the students,well... they just dont let go of any opportunity to have fun Just to elaborate, heres a glimpse of an incident that took place a couple of nights ago:

Student:" Bhaiya, sabse sasta canteen me kyaa hai?"
Mr. Jha:" buscuit hai"( say in the best of bihari tone to get the feel)
Student:"kitne ka hai bhaiya?"
Mr.Jha:" ek rupay ka!"
Student takes out a 50 paisa coin,
Student" achcha bhaiya aadha biscuit de deejiye"
Mr. Jha is flummoxed!!! and enraged..students laughed and move on!

Well this was just one of the sundry incidents that happen in the canteen with Mr. Jha, but yesterday since i had nothing to do, i decided to talk to Jha saheb like a sensible student and got to know that the man is an M.A in political science!!! besides this he also cleared the UPSC written paper but couldnt appear for the interview due to some personal probs! MAN!! i never thought this guy who appeared absolutely nuts had such a profile!
I decided not to pester him any more but broke my resolution in the morning by confusing him to the limits by asking him for one thing after the other and eventually buying nothing!

Sorry Jha saheb but cant really help the devil head i have!

Well personally i feel Mr jha is a rather decent man..a little slow but otherwise nice.Am a little dissapointed on the closure of the canteen near the acad block..now we need to go out to buy soaps etc.

Applied for the junior Placecomm today.The competition for a spot there is going to be intense.I beleive everyone will fight tooth and nail for the job. Bibhu /Saad(Lone wolf) etc are through to the final selection round for the alumni commitee.

Btw Bibhu( who has suddenly dissapeared from the forum) and me are part of an assignment in business law ( as to do with alphabetical order). Fiding it real hard to convert a dry chapte in law into something even moderately interesting.

Well Sectoral presentations for summers await( conducted by the seniors) rock on all//

hi all,
its been 2 weeks now.tw weeks at a b school can change ur perception in life so radically.

some comments:

mess food:for a hardcore southie food buff lik me two weeks of paneer and aloo and chapati the taste buds have gone to sleep.so abt 10 guys frm down south went to a nearby udipi restaurant today and gobbled to our heart's content.man i feel content as i write this,finally i had sambhar and rasam again.

p.s:if i g into the mess committe,i will make sure we will hav southie food @ least 1 a week


sectoral presentations:the seniors r what sets apart imt with other schools in its league.they have and r doing a hell of a lot fr us.they r now conducting sectoral presentations on the various sectors lik auto,fmcg etc as training fr our summer placements.kudos to thm


quality of our batch:the quality of the 190 strong batch is so awesome that it is frightening.
as the students were collected thru cat this time and the cutoff was 96%ile man the quality has to be seen to be belived.i think as our batch profile goes we r nothing short of the iims.60% engg,abt 45% work ex,two docs,two ca's and the list goes on
