Its time for some hard core action here at IMT-Ghz.....

The annual sports competetion "CHAKRAVYUH" is ON!
The meet was inaugerated at midnight ,thursday, 20/10/05 after a 2 hour Masti session in the amphitheatre which saw 24 teams from IMT and other B-Schools come up and entertain the crowd with some real talented stuff ranging from songs to an all boys mujra performance by a team.
The institute was all lit up and the ground looked no less than a picturesque venue in England.
The event which promises to me more than just SPORTS, has teams from IIM-B, IIFT,IMI,FORE to name a few.The event would see three days of non-stop action in sports like cricket,football,basketball,T.T,badminton etc..
I must say guys ,our campus never looked so beautiful and although it was always buzzing with activities, the visitors have added to the excitement palpable in the air..!

Hi IMTians,

I wanted to know if IMT has sectional cutoffs, letz say if one has 96+ percentile, and hasnt cleared one sectional cut-off will he/she still manage to get a IMT call?

Well,Karuna..it's never safe to comment on such issues.One can never be completely sure.My opinion is that the institute will be looking for candidates having "decent" scores across all sections.,I mean your score should not dip below 60-65 percentile in any of the sections.And ofcourse,you need to do very well in the other sections to be able to get to 96+ percentile,and merit a call.I am sure you understand that people having good scores across all sections will have a better chance of converting the call,in comparison to those having lop-sided scores.

IMT ROCKS!!!!

The news of the day is that IMT has emerged as the number 1 team in the north zone in Acumen 2005. The competetion which sees the best of B-school students every year, saw cut throat competeion this year too with teams like those of MDI,IIFT,FMS ,IMT etc..
BUT BUT BUT.... our boys beat everyone black and blue... our debate champ our very own Kattitood from PG rocked the show with an exhibition of some extra rdinary oratory skills. We are now to face winners from west zone( IIM-A), east zone( undecided) and south zone(undecided) in the grand finale!

I know it in my heart for sure that this year we will scale new heights and stand tall to show that we can match the best in the game and beat them too!

I completely agree that any B-school worth its name ,would want candidates who perfrom equally /nearly equally well in the three secions! But I guess, I wasn't clear, what I meant is this say if one has cleared cut-off in 2 sections but almost reached the third section cutoff but not quite made it, will he/she merit a call.How does IMT handle this?
