Hi Iris
Spoke t a few guys at G lakes...accomodation in most cases are unfurnished....but was informed that the Seniors are preparing a list of stuff that they wud like to dispose which we can pick up if it suits our needs...
Had been to G lakes yesterday and spoke to a few of the students from the current batch...The collage is located in a very serene area in Saidapet...i thought there might be a lot of noise and traffic but Srinigar colony..the are where the college is located is a residential area and hence very quiet and peaceful...liked the place...another +ve that makes me feel im doing the right thing by taking up the offer...

Hi,
Could you please tell me how many of the current batch actually commute from their homes in chennai?
Is it too much of disadvantage if i stay with my parents? will i be missing something? As it is i understand that ppl would be going to their flats only to sleep isn't this true?

quite a few did it in my batch..but that was 2 years back. i had my house 6 kms from the college but still lived in a flat nearby and lemme tell yaa.. though i spent mebbe 60k extra ( house rentals did not hit the roof then )it was worth it.. had a ball !! but then it was dominated more by chennaites , but now with 80 % being non chennaites i am sure the whole srinagar colony would be brimming with great lakers. in short it would look like a bschool with residential facilities sans the playgrounds and other paraphernalia like swimming pools, tennis courts etc. but yeah life starts only after 9 PM and trsut me you are going to have fun. worth the investment.

3. What are the clubs/associations/commitees that are present ?
Hi there,
1) Its included in ur fees but on day 2 day basis u tend 2 forget that and it seems as if its on the house!
Other options are restaurants near by......
2) Its nt such a big issue, water scarcity is manageable...
3) We have loads of Committees right from Branding, Placement, Admission and many more. In ur first week u guys will get introduced to all of this.....wait till then dude
Cheers
