In its third year of operation, Great Lakes finds mention amongst the top B Schools in terms of Placements Survey conducted by Business Today - Cool Avenues for the year 2007. As per the rankings Great Lakes ranks 16th in terms of average salary with SJSOM IIT Mumbai and IMT Ghaziabad, just marginally above Great Lakes. This indeed is an achievement and i am sure Great Lakes would improve on this parameter year on year!
Pls. check on the following link to see the details

Also, Great Lakes finds mention in upcoming B Schools -

Last Day @ Great Lakes.... - 23-04-2007, 09:16 AM

The last day @ Great Lakes had a different begining and needless to say a different end... The day started with the CRUSADER batch in full formals heading for the venue which would mark the pride and grandeur with which the CRUSADERs would pass out... Amidst 800 audiences, the CONVOCATION ceremony had enough 'diesel' to call itself one of the best convocations ever... the CONVOCATION saw dignitaries like his excellency Mr. Surjeet Singh Barnala(Honble Governor of the state) and Ms. Sudha Murthy amongst others. We, the CRUSADERS marched proudly on to the stage and and collected our certificates from Ms. SUdha Murthy after being greeted by our beloved Uncle Bala. A deep sense of departure pervaded the hall - it definitely had an atmosphere of utter nostalgia for none other than an institution called Great Lakes. Hence we kept no stone unturned to cheer for the fellow classmates, some of whom we might not ever meet physically. The CRUSIz (CRUSADERS) gave away awards to the best profs and the staffs of Great Lakes and at the end of the student's speech the whole hall roared with the slogan 'WE CAN'. Needless to say, we kept full meaning of our name - we took up the cruusade a year before, and emerged victorious in numerous occassions. The solidarity and enthusiasm that our batch had shown in the whole one year was well depicted at the function. The ceremony was closely followed by the WELCOME of Junior Crusaders as the CRUSADERS handed over the baton to the JUNIOR CRUSADERS who will now take charge of Great Lakes for a year, and at all times WE will be watching THEM. This was followed by a lunch, after which we all had to leave because the Junior Crusaders had classes - they are already into the grind.
In the evening we wanted to have our last big bash... hence some of us poured into a city disc and soon the other CRUSADERs joined in and by 10.30pm, we took possession of the disc ;-). The dj was fair enough to dedicate all the songs to the Great Lakers. The party was good(i dont have any other flowery language to describe it - my words wud cease to have any meaning if I go to describe the emotions now...), the music made us nostalgic, the sadness of departure took over the big bucks that we would be earning. We might be leaving on a jet plane, and might not meet someone in years to come - but we still promised each other to keep in touch.
Allover we had a sexy one year after which the last day was bad - all the Great Lakers hated departure like anything - believe me not a single soul liked it....
But, Life Moves On................................................ ....................

Hi Neo,

The GMAT score for the current batch varies from 620-720, with the avg GMAT being 670. Apart from the GMAT, due emphasis is given on the essays, recos, and the quality of work ex of the candidate. Hope it gives you some idea of the criterias for shortlisting.

Cheers.
