Abt the admission requirements, there is a possibilty of a few changes coming up..but for the same pls wait for some more time before mgt finally decides if ne thing needs to be changed. As of now what i can tell yu is your references and your work ex will still hold a lot of importance, rest we will communicate as soon as we have a final directive

i blv u forgot me...even i had applied last year....and we had e-mailed each other....i still remeber ur cisco ID....so howz life buddy?..btw i had come to the institute this saturday....to meet Srivatsan ( R)......got some updates from him......also saw everyone running arnd on a busy saturdy....so term I is over....right...enjoy life...and let me know once the mgmt has finalised things and decided to share them in the public domain...

So...after a long time...we got some time to breathe...saturday n sunday totally free...yippie

Yesterday we had a blast....:satisfie:

n guys....we are getting some holiday this month end for four days n most of the people are going home....ghar ka khana khane....aur girl friend (s) se milne.....

Life becoming cool as the days are passing....earlier it was very hectic but now we are feeling bit relaxed....getting used to study hard....n party harder

Life@Great Lakes

4:30 AM : The sound of my room mates alarm wakes me up, only to push the alarm button off. The signal though is that the day has started. I try opening my eyes but then fall back to sleep for a few more minutes. Suddenly I find the clock ticking over to 6:15 AM, and yes considering the exams I have in coming days, I decide to wake up. By the time I could get spectacles over my eyes, I have already crushed a few books which take more space of the bed then what i do. Somehow i am able to find the right book, and hence sit down to study for few hours before i realize i got to get ready for classes, and hence starts the dressing up process.

9:00 AM : Running all the way to campus I manage to enter the class just before the professor, and its only during this hour i realize how much "JustInTime - funda" holds good. Seeing the enthusiastic faces, the first thought that crops in my mind is "Why cant i be energetic". Probably Philosophy is what makes them so enthusiastic and then starts a session full of fun loving arguments, from atman to souls, from buffalo's to sleeping tigers...We meet every soul and by the end of lecture, i am unable to find my own!

11:00 AM : After the first class, if I my bad karma's follow me, i land up in another class - Statistics. Now this class can surely wake "kumbhkaran" also. Prof PKV as we loving call him is one of the most energetic prof i have ever met. He runs in the class, he cracks fundo jokes, and his knack of getting in amazing expressions on his face makes us feel alive. His bend over style of saying "Exxxcuse meee" has become a rage in Great Lakes.

2:00 PM : After a heavy luncheon, we guys move to the nearby tea stall. One thing is for sure, the owner of tea stall is not only making lots of money but has somehow become an internal part of our lives. While using a few "Hi - tech and censored words" we have SP (Special Tea) with bla bla. All this while our eternal mates, Dogs around Great LAkes, keeps trying to come closer to have some biscuits. In the class room, we are back to the same process of intense discussions and learnings.

5:00 PM : Time for some break..with sessions over, but then as some one said there are some things which never end. If we are having a bad day, we might have a guest lecture. But post Guest Lecture I am sure most realize that it was our good luck and not bad, that we have landed in the environment wherein much of learning is done through industry interactions. Any ways if we don’t have class our prof's make sure that we have enough of work to do. Some more learnings and then its time for GYM!

7:30 PM : Few of us get to Gym and work out and then move for dinner. Post dinner, we run against time listening to some of the very famous songs sung by fellow MBA's , expressing their feelings about how things are while the Course. In between all this you will find lots of people making network, with chirkut aka orkut being highly famous here amongst Great Lakers.

11:00 PM and then 1:00 AM...time is still running and we have assignments to complete, you see more serious faces in Great Lakes at this our then in morning. With Deadlines closing, we keep striving, believing that: "We have miles to go before we sleep" . And by the time we land up on the bed it is, dont know what time because most of the times, we only know what time we wake, sleeping is no more in our hands Next morning its another day, but the same schedule just that the subjects change, but then whether its FA or Chinese… Great Lakers are grilled to the core.

Hi Folks!!!

The following are the general guidelines for ADMISSIONS to Great Lakes (2007-0 :

• Only GMAT and CAT scores will be accepted. CAT scores of 2005 and 2006 will be accepted - ofcourse GMAT scores should be within the validity period!!!
• The scores of GMAT or CAT will be a criterion for elimination. There is no cut-off in GMAT / CAT scores, however short listing candidates will be on the basis of relative performance (based on the population).
• Two years of work experience would be highly desirable for any prospective student.
• The application forms will be available “tentatively” from September 1, 2006.

Saturday laziness :
After Friday blast, saturday was bit hazy n lazy...got up late...around 10 in morning
Got ready in half n hour then headed towards college where good breakfast (gobi parathas with dahi) was waiting for us.
12 parathas n 6 people....how can u share man....only 2 parathas per person
Headed for Dhaba express....boon for North Indians in Chennai....damn fundoo food...sweet n salted lassi...jalebi n gulabjamun (too good...unlimate)...I can't stop praising...
Dhaba express serves lunch buffe in around 60 bucks so wanted to taste the buffe. Food was good but not brilliant (Only value of money)....
But our Mr beans didn't lose heart and they had three full thalis...wanted to have full paisa vasool funda :satisfie:
After this...thought of hanging out n went to spencers plaza n had lots of fun there...
Came back at 5 in the evening n now we knew we need to studyyy....strategy assignment needs to be submitted soon....philosophy exam is coming near day by day...
and then no masti...only study till 12 in the nite....able to finish half of the things....(Sunday is not going to be a fun day n it is so)....
Still strategy continues n philosophy is in pipeline....
Got some time out n thought of writing a few words...
