hi to glimmers and glim aspirants,
I had just been for the GD and PI, phew it was a stressful and a wonderful experience and a great fun too. my pi went on for almost 45 minutes, with question coming in like diwali rockets in the sky. GD was cool but almost became like a fish market, as most of them wanted to speak out. Altogether it has been a great experience, hope i get through great lakes..............

Re: Life @ Great Lakes Inst. of Mgmt-Chennai - 22-03-2006, 02:17 PM

hi,
abt the GD: we had 2 people in the panel for the GD who had an exerience of abt 43 years each. the topic was abt "Ragging" and we had three questions on a paper given to us abt which the discussion had to be done.
we were 8 of us in the conference room, and we were told tht it would be a 20 minutes GD and exactly 2 minutes before it ends we will be notified. After we were given the topic we were given 2 minutes to read the topic, but no one told lets start ..... i think moderators should tell lets start else how would one know????? suddenly some one initiated although no one said lets start, anyway that was nt a great way to start but thats ok. after few minutes it was a fish market, and one thing i observed was when one person starts speaking he or she never stops and some one had to interrupt to tell their point of view. almost 3 or 4 times i heard people saying let me tell my point. i really think after one person expresses a point he should give chance to others instead of him speaking continuously. For the last 2 minutes one of them summarised the GD.
Regards
Abt my interview in next mail bcos i just typed 1 page and i got logged off from this site. so i think it might be because of the length.Anyways

hi abt my interview:
it was super fun and stressful.
1)As i entered i saw 2 people in the panel and 1 student observer, the third person of the panel came after sometime. the first thing they told was ur essays are good and elaborate but brevity is the soul............ and y werent u brief, so i had to convince them tht being elaborate might bring out much better content and its also not writing essays for the sake of it.
2) after this i had questions from
My Acads
My Hobbies
No questions from my work ex/abt my organisation.
Some general questions
Some unexpected questions which made me astonished. i didn t panick for any but found it so cool and funny, almost 15 minutes we all were laughing and we had great fun in the interview, but suddenly they throw some serious question and transform that complete humorous atmosphere to a serious one. that was the best and stressful part of it , i am sure its done to see if we panick.
Regards
