Though this post might be out of sync with the recent posts, it deserves to be put in this thread as a part of life @ great lakes.

Great lakes team tops in Chennai edition of "ET in the Classroom" quiz and beats 350 odd teams to emerge as the winner in the chennai edition. Way 2 go Nischal and vishwanath who have had a ball of a time reaching all finals and doing extremely well. 6 teams out of 350 qualified and 2 teams were from great lakes. Guess another feather in the cap for this young institute.

need some advice.

just wanted to ask whether i can send the application now and the LOR later
my recommender has delayed sending it due to some personal emergency
or can i just go to the interview venue with my application
how does it work?
plz advice.

1. Resume is to be submitted with the application.
2. Seperate SOP (apart from essays) is required.

send the application immediately and get the recos on the day of interview only if it is unavoidable circumstance..mostly try to send the application with recos..if u r not able to do so..talk to the admission office.

i am in a moral dilemma... guys in the GLIM please help me..

I have not written the GMAT or CAT and was planning for a May 2006 GMAT and application for the IIMC_PGPEX to begin the effort... I had somehow not considered GLIM owing to one reason or the other.

I tried prospecting for the GET from the links attached and have just one set of questions...
1) can I take the GET from Bangalore?
2) if yes then when before 30th march?
3) can someone clue me in regarding the questions in the GET

Hi!!

The admissions process in Bangalore got over today. GET will not be held in Bangalore again this year. The admissions process gets over by March 25th. So, if you need to apply, then you should come down to Chennai and take the process on March 25th.

hi guys

me bk after my interview in kol (11th march).
just sharing my exp, in case tis of help 2 neone.

hd my gd for 10 min. topic was "ethics n value creation".
we were 7 of us, n at d end of gd we all hd one min 2 speak n provide conclusion for d topic.
after a wait of abt 2 hrs my interview started.
interview was pretty cool, not only for me,but for everybody who was present there. (so,basically dat's attributed 2 d panel)
they asked me 2 go thru my life in half min. though found half a min too less to speak 27 yrs of life dat hv spent till now,but tried 2 finish my funda in dat much time.
next was "why i want 2 quite merchant navy". dat was d easiest of all d questions dat i could answer,coz i know y i want 2 do dat."
dey asked me as 2 wot all places hv i visited till now. gave dem a big list of countries. dat included argentina, on which we hd bit of discussion. abt argentina economy, etc.
dey asked me that y am not goin 2 ne other clg for mgmt, y glim? so,dat also hd personal reasons, which would surely vary from person 2 person.
finally dey asked me about baba ramdev's controversy. i chose 2 speak less on d topic coz dis controvesy is a real controversial matter, i never knew wot dey favoured 2 hear.
dat' it. den a final polite sentence saying dat my interview was over.
wd b happy if ne of us can benefit fm dis.
wish me luck friends. results probably by next friday.
