let me tell you about my background. I am a BCA graduate but telling you
frankly that I dont have any interests in coding and computer programming.
the biggest mistake I did in my life was taking BCA as my graduation. I
completed my graduation in the year 2003. After my grads I started working
for a call centre. I worked there for an year as customer care executive.
In sep 2004 I left my Call centre and preparep for CAT and all those
exams but not able to get thru any of those good institutes. Now I am
planning to join a 1 year Diploma course in Financial Planning. Here
in delhi there is an institute which offers 1 year diploma in Financial
planning. they say that it had a great future but frankly speaking that
I am doing this bcoz I dont want to sit idle at home and want to learn
something concrete so that I can overcome my Bca graduation. Thats why
I am choosing finance. Please enlighten me that if I am a good candidate
for GLIM or not. OR my Financial planning options is really a good option
or not. Do this really have a good future. Please reply. I am really
depressed and need help from you guys.

Hi mayank,
I seriously cannot comment. You seem to be a bit confused. there is no point in doing degrees to overshadow your previously earned degrees. It does not serve any purpose. My advice would be you would have to do some soul searching ,try to understand where your interests lie and try to proceed in that direction. It makes no point in doing one degree after the other. You might ultimately land up in a good college , but after that trying to influence your prospective employer during campus interviws will be difficult.
I dont know whether Financial Planning is good/Not. I have no idea about it so you would have to ask some finance majoring guy or possibly a chartered accountant who will be able to give you a more objective view of it.
I can understand your predicament mayank, but the bottomline is where you want to see yourself at the end of 5 or 10 years. so try to build foundation to achieve your dreams. sorry if i sounded like a philosopher, but i couldn't restrain from giving my view points.
reg your chances for great lakes i cannot comment as i dont know what your strengths are. If you really are MBA material i dont see a material why u cant fit in here.Try to make up your mind dude. ATB.

Admission process at Great lakes is that you would be required to have taken either GMAT/CAT. so whichever is convenient for you take the corresponding entrance test, buy the application form which i believe will be out by around sep- oct.i am not too sure . can u shoot a mail to admissions @ glakes reg: this specific query. moderators i am really sorry for typing this mail ID. kindly excuse.then complete the app form and send it with either your CAT/GMAT scores. Guyz/gals who have taken GMAT can apply during the first cycle. ppl who have taken CAT can apply after they get their CAT scores. college starts around april 3rd week.
Hope i answered all your queries.
