Yes!!! I too got the admin, Had my GD/PI on 18th at chennai and
got the letter today itself. I Came to know about Great Lakes only about 10
days back and got all the formalites done within such short span thanks to
VIJAY for his invaluable inputs.

Hats off to u dude ur really doing a great job.

Guys do we have some groups on YAHOO for the 2006-07 batch if yes please
let me know.
Other junta who has confirm admin just passon your contact nos and emails
so that we can get to know each other.

Selected - Congrats !! you are given an admit!!

waiting list has higher priority over hold candidates and means that you have a better chance of getting an admit over a hold candidate.

the process is like this..

some candidates who are selected might not accept as they might have other options or might have to pull out due to personal reasons. in that case the priority next goes to wait list candidates . after the wait list is exhausted and still some seats need to be filled then the hold candidates get a chance.

hope this is clear...

to put it mathematically

Probability ( waitlist candidate getting a final admit) > Probability ( Hold candidate getting a final admit)....

its just a system to sort candidates by performance in their GD/PI..

Won't be able to attened any session b'coz I am in HYD.

I am having three options
1 Continue with the job. :neutral:
2 SPJCM (GD/PI this sat.) ????
3 Great Lakes.

3rd One seems the best but SPJ has a great brand name..
What's the junta ki awaaz. If you think this is not the right ques.
to ask in the thread just mail me ur views at my ID.
I am a bit skeptical just because I came to know about GLAKES
only few days back and quitting a job is some decision to make.

and i am not the person who instructed you before GET
a case of mistaken identity i guess.. and i am a current great lakes student so i dont really know who all applied and who all got thru..

see the choice is yours... u need to do a lot of research abt the insti and decide what you want to do..


i can see from your number of posts that you have been a newcomer in PG. so i would suggest you to go thru both the current active Great lakes threads and then make up your mind..

reg SPJ dubai there is also a active thread in PG which should give you sufficient information..

finally the choice is yours !! ATB

1.5 Yrs with Satyam just like you with TCS
B-Tech Computer Sci.
Cat score 83% this yr 2003 was better but they don't accept such old scores so I took GET.
acads: not great in school but decent overall.
GD was OK, was sitting in the corner was sidelined for some time by others but came back.
PI was good.
Where r u with your admin application?

Hey as U have Written GET ...cud u please tell me whether i can take GET any time or should I inform them before..I have submitted my Application..and want to write the TEST comin Saturday..is that possible....and also if selected ..can I have my GD/PI on that day itself....Pls Reply mate...

mainly quant and the difficulty level was just above average.
English was also there but u prepare for it or not it won't make much diff.
