Hi I am Ashwin- First time in the thread.
My this Year's CAT %le was 83 and in 2003 it was 96 can I apply with
previous percentile if no can I apply with this years percentile as well
as take GET and expect that the better one of the two will be taken.
Also I might not be able to quit the company before June so what
was something like Deffered admission mentioned on the FAQ's page.
Kindly Reply as there is very little time left.

Hi Ashwin,

As far as Deffered Admission, it is not as easy as it is in the US uiniversities. Only under very exceptional circumstances, one can defer it to next year. And in your case, you very well know that you cannot quit before June. So why applying in the first place?

Hi All,
Although this is my first post in this thread and a late one too, I have followed this thread very closely..in fact the buzz here took me a long time to fully go thru it all....
I just received the winderful cd from Great Lakes as well as the application form and brochures..I must say it was real wuick to send it all from Chennai to Kolkata.....I had called up Great Lakes and the person(guess Priya is her name and whata sweet voice) told me I wud get the app package only on Wednesday next week..but here I have received the same today itself.

I have some quesries regarding the app form and all...I need to send all of that fast...
1. Mode of Finance(what to write here and in how much details..I still don have a clue as to money ..only that i need a loan)?
2.Keeping in minf my profile as given above..which referees shud I select...that is what kind...since mine is a startup..i guess u know how it is..no proper hierarchy as such..although manager and kind of boss is there...plz advise
3. are the referees supposed to fill by hand????? where will they get that much time??
4. in reco section...personal contact(referee) could be what kind of people...


junta...plzzz give me all the gyan you can..time's running out fast for me cuz Great Lakes second phase date for kolkata is 11th march

indian bank gives int @ 9% to students of great lakes. i have got my loan sanctioned from them and this is the best deal that i was getting. so u may mention that u r seeking loan from indian bank. the amount for which u r applyig the loan has to be mentioend here with the break ups.

it would be nice if u can get one recomedation from ur coll prof and the second one from any 1 i ur organization.

ideally it should happen the way u have menioned above. however if in ur case if it is not possible ave a talk to the autority at great lakes , i am sure they will cooperate with u.

Hi Guys,

This is really important. I took CAT this year and did some silly mistakes and ended up gettin arnd 97 %ile. Got a call from IMT-G but not interested in going there. I am currently working wid a software giant in Gurgaon.
Can I apply for GLIM now. If yea, what are my prospects of getting thru?
Please lte me know asap. Need to make arraangements for the same.

The Second Phase of Admission at Great Lakes are still going on and hence you can definetly apply for the same.

The Prospects :

Admission in Great Lakes is based on your Overall Application, Reccos, Essays, Past Academic Records, Work Ex,GD and PI besides the aptitude test score(in your case CAT).
Your work ex and CAT Score would stand you in advantage and if your perform well on other parameters you stand a good chance to making it to Great Lakes.

My work ex is little over 6 months and my acads are as
10th 77
12th 73
B.Tech from NIT 76.7
OK OK extra currics, more into orgainizing functions and fests at college.
was Treasurer of Department Society.

CAT %ile I have already quoted.

How can I apply for it. Do I have to mail them the draft for the application form. or can it be filled online.
