hi prof.loser
if u go through all the posts mentioned on this thread, i am sure that u will get a very clear picture of ur chances.
anyways i wud still summarise the entire story.
unlike other b-schools admission at great lakes is not focused on aptitutde alone, it is based upon ur overall profiel, probably that i y almost all the guys get an interview call.
if u have a good educational background , i mean decent score in ur acads, good extra curriulars , work ex. etc etc u can make it in.
and at the end of the day it is the interview table where u make it or break it, and as u say that u r confident abt the interview, i think u have a very good chance, don't feel lost out, go ahead and apply, i am sure to find u as a class-mate come friend og mine for the batch of 2006 - 2007

Hi Prof.loser
Few things...
1 . Change yur name...the name suggests quite a few things...
2. Every good scool wud have lots of people above 90 percentile...bt dont think they are the best..Be confident abt yurself
3. Great Lakes judge a candidate on diff factors - Scores,Past Profile, work Ex,Essays,Reccos,GD,Interview..work on them...
4. Try your best and if yu succeed great...else there are better things waiting for yu..
All the very best

hi Kheone
I have tried to answere ur querries in different points, let me know if i miss out on something
Q )do i stand a chance wid dis kind of CAT scr or i shud apply for great lakes' test.
i good score in cat definitely increases ur chances but doesn't guarantee.
so if u thik u can do better in GET u shld definitely give GET, so its a call that u will alone have to take.
q)being a one yr course do dey prefer experience lot.
Experience i desired but not mandatory, if u go through the website, its mentioed that they have certain no of seats for freshers too so proove ur self.
q) also guys getting good packages already had a decent work exp. how much a fresher gets
again this question is about self assesment, freshers have also bagged a 7.5 lacs package. so deifintely u too can get a good pay package.
i am not aware of the actualy figures as to how much a fresher gets,
may be the seniors can help u out on this
q) it is not a recognised course wid any indian university.does it affects its credibility
i feel a course has to be more importantly recognized by the corporates rather than the indian universitites.
there are 100's of mangement schools in inda whihc are AICTE approved but u know what.
and herer is this institute which has narayan murthy , Ratan Tata, godrej etc etc backing it. so u can draw ur own conclusions.
and just for ur information.
even ISB is not AICTE approved (somebody please correct me if i am wrong on this) . actually AICTE doesn't affiliate the 1yr courses, so great lakes is also not affiliated. as a matter of fact none of the 1yr courses in inda are approved by AICTE. plez do cross check this piece of information from some1 else too.

Hi Pradeep..can u pls tell me what all u had to submit...are u sure that physical presence is not reqd ?? Also in the Indian Bank form ..the guarantor's addr is asked..Since my uncle is going to US, should I give his US addr or the one here ?? Coz if they come for verification..then he wont be there in his resedential addr...his wife is there..is that enough for verification?? Sorry for bothering with too many questions
