Hi Pranks

If yu go by the profile of current batch yu will find around 22% people who are freshers or have less than one year of work ex.; which in itself clearly states that its not a institute with "No Freshers" Policy...

So My suggestion would be go ahead with full confidence; apply; write down essays which brings the best out of you; get references which stregthens your claims; prepare for GET (if applying thro that) and go ahead...

At Worse even if you dont make it this time; you will gain wonderful experience of GD/PI amongst people with Work Ex.

and hey ...if yu think yu can yu can and wud...so go ahead considering yurselves capable of making thro..and yu probably wud..

All the very Best
Manik

Hi Pranks

I agree that with Insti coming of age and growing in reputation the no. of freshers would decrease, but if i take a realistic check i dont think the no. of freshers wud go below 10%. Now that means there wud be arund 13-15 freshers.

Considering that last year arund 1000 + applied to Great Lakes, and arund 500 in first phase i think arund 1000 more that means 1500 wud apply to great Lakes. Out of those 1500 even if there are arund 300 Freshers, it means chances of yur conversion is 15/300 i.e 1/20...which acc to me is a good enuf competetion...cos even if yu apply to ne other college...u usually face that much compt for a seat even if thats a complete Freshers institute..

So dude..Just get a punch in yur application :grab: and go ahead....Ne queries feel free to ask

Just a query regarding the GET.........Is it on same lines as CAT? I mean the level of preperation one needs to prepare for GET?

hi...i was not much aware about Great Lakes.....and to be frank had not paid much attention earlier....
but i feel as ISB has carved its name for itself within such a short time...GLIM will follow suit...
Can i still apply to GLIM...what are the formalities in the application process???
I have a GMAT score of 680 and a work-ex of 1.5 years...will that suffice for a GD/PI call??? B.E. with decent accads(65%) and some extra curr stuff??
what is the last date to apply for GLIM?

regards,
sumit.

Here is something interesting:

http://www.fdimagazine.com/news/full...E_2005_06.html

TN seems to have a great potential to grow as the region of the future. Needless to say GLIM will go a long way being in TN.

Hi eternal_insane...

Nice Name
...Please refer to www.glakes.org for the admission dates and all.

You have a decent GMAT score and considering the you have 1.5 years of work ex, if you get down with conviencing Essays/GD/PI and References i dont see any reasons for your not making to Great Lakes.

All the best and feel free to ask any queries.
