Dr. Jay Mitra

Dr. Jay Mitra is the Founding Professor of Business Enterprise and Innovation at the University of Essex, South end, UK Professor Mitra is also the Director of the Scientific Committee on Entrepreneurship for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD's), Local Employment and Economic Development (LEED), Programme in Pans. He is also the Chair of the International Entrepreneurship Forum, a unique international platform for academics and practitioners engaged in entrepreneurial activities He has held a number of visiting professorships in Italy and Finland, and is currently a Research Fellow at the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University m China. Mr. Mitra's academic portfolio includes research and development work on different aspects of new venture creation and development and management of acclaimed postgraduate programmes on entrepreneurship. He is currently serving as Associate Director, International Development, Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group, Director of Centre for Entrepreneurship Research.

Mr. Mitra has over 20 years experience in the areas of small business, entrepreneurship and economic development, as a policy maker, as an academic and as an entrepreneur Prof Mitra has written over 100 refereed journal articles, book chapters and conference papers (including 2 international awards) on different topics covering his main research interests on entrepreneurship and regional development, innovation organisational learning, business clusters, and industry-higher education interaction.
Mr. Mitra was educated in India and in the United Kingdom (University of Stirling), and he draws his inspiration from literature, poetry, theatre, cinema, jazz and cricket.

a) Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, CEO Zensar Technologies

Dr. Ganesh has been one of the most successful professionals in the Indian Information Technology Industry, having earlier been part of two major success stories in IT Training and Consulting, NIIT and APTECH. During his ten year stint as CEO of Aptech he grew the company’s revenues fifty times and listed it on the Indian and London Stock Exchanges.

A Gold Medallist in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, Ganesh has recently completed his PhD in Knowledge Management at IIT Bombay. He is the author of three McGraw Hill Books on Business Process Reengineering and Knowledge Management and has also authored a book titled ‘Winds of Change’. He is a regular columnist for India’s premier Business and IT magazines.
He was named 'CEO of the Year' by the Asia Pacific HR Conference in 1999 and received the Wisitex Foundation’s 'CEO of the Decade – Knowledge Award' from India’s Minister for Information Technology in 2000. In July 2005, he received the Asia HRD Congress Award for Contributions to the Organisation through HR. Ganesh was also the finalist at the Ernst & Young 2005 Award where he was recognized for exceptional entrepreneurship.

Dr. Ganesh chairs the Outsourcing Forum of the Confederation of Indian Industries in Western India and is also a member of the Executive Council of NASSCOM, India’s premier IT and BPO Association. He has been elected Chairman of NASSCOM for 2007-2008. Ganesh is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the Harvard Business School. Presently, he is the Vice Chairman and CEO – Zensar Technologies, National Chair – IT & ITES Committee –CII, Member – Chairmen's Council –NASSCOM
