u've said it, saikat!! we worked hard for the quizzes, sure we did. and we had none. what is it i'm feeling? relief? disappointment? can't figure out - perhaps a mix of both.

Three quizzes in the same week... Accounts, Eco, ITM, MSM. Add to that the fast approaching mid terms, and life is no longer beautiful.

This is how our week has been. We started with an Accounts quiz on 7th, moved on to both an ITM practical test and an MSM quiz on 12th, and ended up with an Eco quiz on 13th.

Phew!! Me, and certainly every first-year student at IMI, is looking forward to Sunday - our Independence Day in every sense of the word.

The quizzes have been a great learning experience, absolutely different from the tests we'd had until now. They have been eye-openers (literally), and though bouncers, we learnt a lot - ranging from application of formulae to real-time problems to managing time to competing to "cooperating".

Yaaaaawn!! I'm so exhausted. I better go to my hostel and sleep a while before starting with studies again. Sigh!!

Cheerio!!

PS: Did I mention that ALL my quizzes have been disasters?? And I guess (hope I'm wrong, though) that lots of my batchmates would second this thought.

mid-term fever.... well, we just have a week to pull up our socks.
My MSM (Mathematics and Statistics for Management) was a complete disaster. Eco was decent.

hey samit there are a few points that i would like to add from the IIFT[/highlight:7fb7c856a9]
15 minutes is just too much of time to prepare yourself to be in the class

at IIFT[/highlight:7fb7c856a9] the time taken is

a minute to change the dress , 5 minutes for daily washing ( includes everything as per wat you want) 1 minute for gulping a water bottle and 3 minutes to reach in class ( thats jogging time at IIFT from 8:56-8:59)

OB is fundu session and rather interesting for most of us ( courtesy the real life stories from Prof. Pathak) so we don't sleep there

Messing up quizzes of eco and accts after studying for 4 hours is common while we are the bond in marketing ( I scored 7 & 8 out of 10 in surprise quizzes)
If you wish to know during which class do we sleep then i can atleast tell you about myself I have slept almost in all classes (excluding OB) that too in front row..................

The food part is best here, even though mess is improving day by day but its the IIFT canteen where people from neighbourhood instis flock to everyday in lunch time.

just trying to find more similarities (oops hangover of yesterdays freshers is still there) so rather i would go to sleep.

Re: Life@IMI-Delhi - 20-08-2004, 07:06 PM

The CII Summit was a real eye opener and I got to listen to some of the best in the field of ‘marketing.’ I must confess that the food at the Taj was certainly a treat. But of course, this was strictly an academic exercise. Some of the interesting speakers were Sanjiv Gupta, Suhel Seth, Anil Menon and Piyush Pandey. I was lucky enough to meet some them after the session.

Mid-terms are starting on Monday and MSM (Mathematics & Statistics for Mang.) is driving me insane. I have MSM and ME (Managerial Economics) on Monday, OB (Organizational Behavior) on Wednesday and Accounts on Saturday.

Our stock club “Dalal Street” will be operational in another week. Donations and contributions are certainly welcome.

Re: Life@IMI-Delhi - 18-09-2004, 01:53 PM

These past few months have exposed me to a wide range of experience in terms of subjects and people. Time certainly did fly and I have completed three months of the 21-month course. Our end term exams commence on the 25th and Term II starts on 4th October. Therefore, that leaves me with 6 days to arm myself. The sadistic temperament of whoever prepared the schedule is quite evident.

25th Sept. – Organizational Behaviour 10:30 am
26th Sept. – Spanish/French/German 2:30 pm
27th Sept. – Managerial Economics 10:00 am
27th Sept. – Math & Stats for Mang. 2:30 pm
28th Sept. – Legal Aspects of Business 2:30 pm
29th Sept. – Managerial Accounts 10:00 am
30th Sept. – Business Communication 10:00 am
1st Oct. – Information Tech. in Mang. 9:30 am
