A couple of days into Kritva and it's really living up to all the hype that was built around it

Inaugurated by Jyotiraditya Scindia, who asked Manish to sit alongwith him on the dais as he was one of the persons involved in getting in touch with him and bringing him here. A usual and very impassioned speech by Mr. Scindia. Usual because he had come for some inauguration during my B.E. days as well

That time, some of the girls in our class absolutely swooned over him...... "how smart", "so intellectual" and what not

Don't know what was the case this time round..... didn't get to "interview" any of the girls later

But atleast Mr. Scindia's image is far from that of a "politician", an image of someone who is just about literate, someone who can speak broken English, talks about himself or his party etc etc. None of these things are a part of Mr. Scindia's speech and he does amazingly well to customize his speech according to the listeners. I remember how he mentioned more about Engg. and technology related stuff during his visit to my Engg college and this time, he used quite a few jargons, some theories etc and general gyan

I guess India would be a better place with people like him, although I'm speaking with a pretty limited knowledge of politics
Anyway, enough about Mr. Scindia. Oh ya just one more thing on him, that he sat amongst the students and interacted with quite a few of them after his speech. Unfortunately, the compere announced that he had to leave, and Mr. Scindia looked rather amused

Clearly there had been some miscommunication but that wasn't really a nice moment for the compere with Mr. Scindia's flummoxed look and hurried exit thereafter. Hopefully he won't be taking this thing seriously..... after all, he has been a management student himself some years back
Ok now done with it. After this was the dance competition, where three teams from Amity, IMT and IMI took part. The team from Amity came on first and was awesome with their synchronization and amazing flexibility. IMI was next and although they missed out on the synchro part, I thought they had much more variety in their part. They did have one part in their dance when each of the member had to dance with their fingers, and that was amazingly synchronized

I think that won it for them (Yes, IMI won it

) Last team, IMT and sure enough, it was last in the rankings as well. Don't know how or why did they choose the dancers that it did, or the songs that it did. But anyway, bottom line is, they were much inferior than either IMI or Amity.
Then came our homegrown rock bank, "Citric". Played some nice numbers, Aman is pretty good at guitar. Some work probably needs to be done on the singing part but I guess if and when they start working together more often, they can do much much better
That brings us to the end of the 1st day and to the start of the 2nd. Some competitions in the morning like Counterstrike (not the game) and Treasure Hunt (where I heard the participants had to roam around parts of Delhi

). LAN gaming is also a part and I've taken part in FIFA and Somil's taken part in NFS. We both are past the 1st round, although the "top seed" in FIFA, BD has been knocked out in the first round by some guy from NITIE

We'll be having the remaining rounds today, so let's see how I and Somil fare.
Later in the evening came the chance to see UnderSiege and MotherJane live

They had been sound checking for more than 3 hrs before their performance started..... such huge sound systems and other complex machinery brought along with them. But once the performance started, the crowd simply loved it and lapped it all up

In fact when MotherJane were playing after UnderSiege, even the UnderSiege members enjoyed their performance from the Amphi and were frequently seen head banging

Awesome performance from both the bands
That brings us to today, the final day of Kritva. Some events like Launchpad scheduled for today and later, Euphoria coming up

Man.... Kritva is surely rocking this time, much more than last year

Will keep this place updated
