HI ALL..
this is abt 18th june, 2008, 10 pm meeting:new_bat_angel:!

most of the batch was present at the night out in the amphi on the 0th day!!!


we gathered there slowly after dinner..must say the cafeteria providess nice food..enjoying the first few days !!!

then came the seniors.. jitu sir came along with few other sirs n mams!!
have to know the seniors well..they told us to think as a batch n not separately PGDM or HR, which is very obvious but very imp to understand!!

then we had some song n dance classes..we have really good singers in puneet n shruti...

also the couple dance was quite intersting, specially ghoshda's paisa udaing act!!!though the heroines were applauded...specially bhavya:tongue:

the chavanni, Gao Me Dhupbatti skits were funny!!!thouigh there were quite few critics for r ramayan show!!!!:tellme:


overall it was really a nice time!!also got to know abt the summers, for which interviews start in september...so, pull up ur socks everybody!!!!

the program went over at 2 am..then walked home..few of us caught hold of a rickshaw(7 of us..though delhi doesnt allow people sittin in front...),
main to us driver ko hyderabad ki ricksahw ki misaal de raha tha!!!

so went to room...had bath!!!and slept peace fully for the "D" day, orientation!!!!

Registered for the 1st term...... Officially became the students of IMI now

Got a backpack with "IMI" written over it. Mast bag hai...very stylish....very spacious. Could be very well used for travelling

Got 6 books in the bag and some course outlines as well. Details about course structure, evaluation criteria etc. are also provided. One "handbook of information" has also been provided which contains lots and lots of rules, regulations and FINES!!!

Our 1st orientation session will start from 1400 hrs, just after lunch that is. It'll be conducted by our program director (whoever that is, would get to know then).

Anyways, bottom line.... bag bahut accha laga

ya really, when we came in the morning we saw the bag...being given to exec pgdm students...
wow, now we too got them soon after r break fasts(which was alos fine )!!!
but does the bag suggest that we carry the books to school everuday????
mine is a lovely red one..kewl..!!!!

so waiting for the aftrnoon session...session abhi baaki hai, mere doston...wakaooooooooooo

hey avinav and debayan, u ppl havng real fun in hostel.i think i will be missing masti and all.but its for sure i will be coming to hostel quite often.for nw the registration is complete and met lots of new joinees.lots of guys from south india and calcutta.for 2 days its long sessions and lectures.just tells about the time that is yet to come

aur mujhe to hostel me achchhi need aati hai...balcony se view badhia hai....
Adhchini Hostel me achchha gupshup hota rehta hai!!!!

nice mix of guys in the hostel..will be shortly putting up a list with room nos and names...[]

Aayenge baaki puys bhi dheere dheere.... Tere section mein to do active pgites hai.... sameer.lal and chekidu... Others like coolroy and barathg22 are in HR. A section mein shayad sirf main hi hoon :( Dekhta hoon koi aur milta hai ki nahi active pgite.

Chekidu and coolroy apne se bhi bade wale hai.... Let them be active... This thread will be even more colourful

this is mohit from hr...
this is my first post and from now on i will try and post regularly...

today was the forst day of orientation..
the dy was supposed 2 satrt on 10.30 but for me it started at 9a.m sharp.. i am a delhite and live a good 22 km frm college so had to negotiate the morning rush (which is at peak at this time mind you)..
dhke khate surprisingly main 10 bje tak pahuch gya .. expected arnd abt 1.15 hrs of commuting time but it took only 1 hrs that too when i had to stop for petrol and air.. badiya hai ..

jake dekha registration chal rahi hai exec prog ki .. felt kinda nervous and excited abt my registration .. went outside and had a badam milk at canteen ( nice canteen a satisfactory one .. ac bhi hai canteen main )
then did regisrtaion got a cool bag maine or sea blue colour.. par books nahi milli .. out of stock hogyi thi .. koi nahi jitna late mile badiya hai ..

then came programe overview by the program director mamta mohapatra..
she explained abt imi . why there is need of this sepertare hr course .. what is its uniqueness.. and al.. bexh main to nend aahi gyi thi .. wo to amrish (classmate) bhai ke questions the jo utha rahe the ...

then came lunch thik thak lunch tha 45 rupees ki thali ..par kal se apna laucnh lejane ka plan hai .. after that we had a nice session known as getting to knw each other.. we were divided into 13 groups each having four members .. we had 15 mins of interection within our group and had to introduces ourselves in such a way that they will rember us till they die in short for a lifetime .. then after 15 ins we had to introduces our group members to class.. my group had vihas ruchira and kamakshi .. i hope i got the names right ..

then there was welcome adress by prof c.s. venkatartnam.. he told us a bit more abt hr .. and kinda scared us that what problems hr guy can face .. in short he wanted to tell us if our heart is not in hr then we are wasting our time here and can apply for refund .. then the day was over with interaction with faculty .. over tea that is .. i took a leave then and decided to hunt fro accomodation rooms .. but the kind of rooms that i got to see made me think that 1 hour of commute is better than staying there ..

Chalo ek aur HR se pgite mila....Batches aise divide hue hai ki although HR and PGDM - B mein hai pgites (the active ones) but PGDM - A mein (my section) shayad main hi hoon the only active one.... :( Kuch aur log ko active karna padega from my section

Anyways, atleast we have active pgites from each section.... That serves the purpose.

Today, we had sessions on... ruko... let me see the schedule...quite a long list... will brief in short

Program Overview by V. Chandra....Surprised to see that she is a.... well, "she". I thought "Sir" V. Chandra. Nothing new really, stating some rules and regulations, evaluation criteria etc... Basically reiterating the contents of the student handbook

Some other sessions by the Fin, Mktg and Eco profs (IT profs were missing today). Fin by Prof Himadri Das, Mktg by Prof PC Mehra alongwith a few others and Eco by Prof Arindam Banik. Slept a bit in some of the lectures (the usual ones for me). Already got a case on Mktg which we are expected to study for tomorrow's class.

Finally, a session by the Director. So, our day started at 1300 hrs and ended at 1815 hrs. Not a very exhausting session today but it's likely to be tomorrow. Kal 0930 se 2030 tak hai :( Although some would look forward to the session by HP and Apple dealers.
