sorry for writing after a long time...

i have joined MDI (yes u can make out by my rank & logo)

the life is really cool here....

no... its not easy... but i bet anyone joining this great institute will certainly enjoy every moment!!

the love, the guidance, the support we get from our senior batch is really unmatched!!

i am waiting for my laptop to arrive... and then i'll be more frequent here!!

i'd request other people who have joined MDI to share ur views here and other junta can shower the questions (if any) to us!!

leaving for a conference (yes its on saturday & sometimes on sunday also)!!

can ya tell me what's the total cost of studying in MDI, Gurgaon(everything included except personal expenses)...
and yes, heard a lot about placements. i hope u can enlighten us about the ACTUAL figures there.. tell me the MEDIAN salary... and what about lateral placements there. what's the minimum experience they require for lateral placements... and during the GD n PI, do they look for guys with work ex...what % of ur friends have work ex, and what's the avg work ex there? which specialisation is the best in MDI,Gurgaon?
are the salaries different for freshers n work ex guys....what's the avg salary for freshers n those with work work ex?

hey,
i'll answer about the cost of studying at MDI .. the total cost for our batch was 4.3 Lakh rupees, this figure includes the mess charges and the hostel charges also. other charges would include some other charges for joining the clubs at MDI .. like we are finding out. it seems to be a little on the higher side but most of us are here on educational loans. as for the placement figures... i'll take a look at the official figures and try to post them here. as for life at MDI .. its way too cool. am back from a movie screening. and no .. prateek was not there.

There are about 40 guys having work-ex here. The max. being about 4 years as per my knowledge. The average would be about 1.5 years since there are lots who have resigned after working for less than a year.

Companies generally do not consider the work ex. if less than a year.
There has been a huge increase in the no. of girls( Incentive to join MDI )

The college is cool and having a hell of time out here. Everything rocks starting from the food to the campus to the activities.... Next two years are going to be one huge party!! ( with a lot of hard work also required..)

Hi Rahul

MDI is known for revealing the actual figures only (we do not inflate them)... so the figures reported are the actual figures...
regards lateral placements... in case u have a relevant work ex of more than about an year... u can expect a lateral placement...
the placement scenario of MDI is very good... this year the whole batch was placed in 6 hours flat...

while GD PI... work ex is an added advantage though... but seeing the %age of freshers in batch... u can be sure that freshers also get fair chance!!

hey ppl,

was thinkin of startin this thread long time back.. thanx for the initative prateek.. we r havin one helluva time at MDI. the lif is so cool.i never knew days were so long and sleepless nights cud be so enjoyable...

The lif is tuff...pre readings r a real headache.. lots to study...library has no vacant seats..(and it's a pretty big library)...

the cafe is always filled up till 2 at nite...the energy in this place never lets u sleep... sleepin is a luxury alrite but no one avails that.

dude, i went the other day to check my mail just for the heck of it at 4.30 at night .. and there were about 5 people in the cc checking out some stock market figures .. so mdi never sleeps .... something we are just learning. time to do the FA assignment
