i know MDI rocks..in fact every tope b-school has the same atmosphere.
sleepless nights and stock analysis are the common....as far as i know.
i sound and sense this as a promotional campaign of MDI on net.
whatever mdi is a good B-school...and all respects to it...
come on dudes..there is still long time....to do all this...

The cutoff for MDI wasn't declared officially, but from the current batch profile, i can tell you that it would have been an overall percentile of 95 odd, with high percentiles in math and DI. Math : the minimum requirement is 90+. So, if you have an overall of 97 percentile, but 89 in math, you will NOT get a call from MDI.

Apart from this, your overall performance in GD/PI and a good profile also plays a huge role in converting this call... The current batch at MDI has one of the best profiles of students across India - varied across sectors, and in terms of amount and quality of work experience, and backgrounds...

Me too in MDI.. Posting after a long long time.... You all must be knowing why.

Anyway ... This is no College Propaganda going on... the thing that is happening is that MDI has far exceeded the expectations of everyone here till now... We all joined MDI thinking that this is the best option we have in our hand.We couldn't make it to A,B,C so better this one... But once in .. Trust me the environment is totally different... All the professors are a gem of themselves .. Almost all of the Profs are EX-IIM professors ( A , B , L just name it)... You got professors who go deliver Guest Lectures in Howard Business School ... So Quality teaching is what I can assure you of....

Other than that the infrastructure is superb... Its half a corporate life with the campus filled with people running around with laptops , meeting one deadline after another.... giving presentations , giving surprise quizzes without studying anything coz last night we were discussing the performance of the pharma industry in India pre budget and Post budget.... Sometimes it becomes difficult to believe that 15 days back I was so ignorant to such a repository of knowledge....

I agree to what one of my friends out here said... that the Hostel Life is basically same every where (all premier B Schools).... More or less yes.... Obviously the pressure, stress is what makes managers out of juveniles..... So no denying the fact..

Will keep all of you updated with the developments out here. Till then chillllll.

I guess the best part of MDI is all the student driven initiatives. With none of the activities being sponspored by the college, the students actually run around for getting things done. Get a wide exposure to various facets...

hey dude...promotional campaign sorta things r done for things that r not already popular... we ppl jus wanted to share some sincere experiences we've been thru ..
after all we've been members on this forum for long and really hav had a gr8 time being one..

ok guys .. i think there is a serious problem ... i have no clue about who is who .. sammysosa is samit who is like two rooms next to mine and then i knew who qwezark was ( is it Raj?) and then i dont know who calvin is and then i also dont know who strike high is ... i obviously know them in college .. but these PG avtaars really get me mad. we must have a PG club at MDI soon.
and as for the promotional campaign part ... all i can say is that MDI speaks for itself
