Hi while I am constantly in touch with all my batch mates and we keep remindin each other about the challenging life we faced in BITS - one of the post I liked is as follows -

Hi all,
To the First MBA Batch, thank you seniors for setting the first milestone, if not by leaps and bounds, the placements shall improve; but yes irrespective of the placement statistics which mostly suffer because of the Technical Repute of our University; The second MBA batch students alike the 1st batch confide in their abilities just for a single reason that the quality of Education is no substandard by any means! The Cases/HBR Articles/Assignments and the degree of involvement in activities.The six months internship program plus an optional 2 months ...there are simply many to quote here....The 3rd batch inducted recently has 30 students of which 2 are freshers and the rest have Work Ex's. Not to forget people like me who have been inducted through the First BITSAT and have done their Civil/Chemical Engineering from BITS itself and are pursuing MBA as an extension of their progs.
Knowledge is there, The drive to perform is there and to some extent our Practice School Division is Competent enough but the Placement Scene needs to improve.
I welcome all corps. to hire the MBA grads from BITS Pilani, I know it may sound a bit boasting but we don't compare our quality to others because "THEY" may not Be WORTH IT!!

Good to know u interested in Bits MBA.I believe u understand that this is a technology oriented MBA with two spl. viz ITeS n ETM.
With the kind of profile u have, work ex. will definately give u an edge in the post BITSAT procedure.Do well in BITSAT!!!
for BITSAT: its online.......n the difficulty level is the same as that of cat........brush up ur 10+2 basics.......cause Maths,Physics and chem are 3 diff. sections. Also the general mgmt test will be there.
The placement has been pretty decent with the last batch getting an avg. 6.5 lpa (highest 22 lpa).
this year things r taking time( ob. due to recession) but hopes r high 'cause Bits strength is the PS system and the support of Bits alumni (better than the best.)
With increased no. of ppl opting for higher studies this year(another repercussion of recession), I wud strongly suggest not to take any chances and gear urself up to deliver the best at BITSAT....

but as you know been out of touch of PCM since last so many years (working in IT comp)..

Plz provide more information abt BITSAT so that i can start working on that.

1. is the BITSAT is same which is required to get in undegrad course at BITS?
2. How many ppl overall apply for this program! and how many are called for second round and how many finally make it......i know difficlut to get data but u can give data from ur batch...and u can always make more informed guess then me
3. Again same question some information on BITSAT, like no of question, time given to solve the, any suggested books?
4. around what time advt will be out for admission of this batch and by what time classes start.
5. Fee for complete program?

BITSAT difficulty level is similar to that of IIT JEE screening but for each courses the cut-off is different. So ur score will be compared with the MBA aspirants only. Last year , more than 1200 people applied for the program out of which around 100 were called for the 2nd round and finally 32 were shortlisted for the final admission.
The format of the test tests both ur accuracy and speed..............for gen. mgmt(most important of all the tests).......practice solving CAT papers.........and for the rest ...just go thru some practice papers for IIT JEE screening.......
The ad. will be out towards the end of April or start of May.....and the total fee for the program wud be around 2 L (rough estimate)
