I am getting online from library,its wi-fi enabled.you need to have a 16 digit pass key,I will msg u the pass key plzz check ur PM.

You can also get online bu using the IT lab in the first floor academic block.

My Apologies for missing out on your name,was in a rush of things,and thanks a lot for ur kind words,i really appreciate it.

Just an add on information to my previous post,our whole campus is going to be wi-fi enabled by the end of this month.

and yeah I will be coming up with some pics pretty soon,just bear with me for a while.

Things Coming Up for Us @IMT-D In Next Week:

1) We have got a Orientation Ceremony from Dubai International Academic City on 13th Oct,heard its gonna be a fun and a learning experience...Can't Wait..

2) Then We have another Desert safari tour planned for us by D.I.A.C,30 of my batchmates will be going on desert safari with students from other universties in academic city.

Its been 5 days since we all left our homes and ventured on the journey of our lifetime MBA@IMT-Dubai.

So,What are my first impressions of the two most important aspects of my next two years IMT and Dubai,the combination of which will decide my future life.

I thought why not jot down my first impressions of life@IMT-D,so here I am with my first Impressions.

First Impressions @IMT-Dubai.

1) IMT-Dubai is in a budding stage,on the onset of a long journey of excellence,we have a strong IMT-Family traditions and benchmarks to live upto,have got all the things in place,a new state of the art campus,a full strength batch,quality teachers and most important of all a will to succeed and to set new standards.God Willing we will be able to do just that.:snipersm:

2) Dubai as a place looks more like a modern India,it provides us a glimpse of what cities like gurgaon or noida will be 10 years down the line,you wont feel like out of place in this city,with all the desi's around we have majority of the cabies from sub-continent Indians,Pakistanis,Bangladeshis working side by side.

If only this could be the story back home,how much progress we all could have acheived.:angel:

3) Cost of Living in Dubai is a bit on the higher side,with the sub-prime crisis around and ruppe depriciating the cost of living for us in dubai is certailnly on the rise,when I submitted my fee the cost of an one dirham was around 10.30Rs,which has now touched to around Rs14,which is beggining to pinch now,but as they say "If its a smooth ride,itzz not Life!".

4)Dubai is truly a cosmopolitan city,here you can find people from most of the world nationalties,even the place where we have our campus i.e. Dubai Academic City has campuses of worldwide Universties like American unversit,michigan university,french university and so on..an amazing place.(I wont say of the amazingly beautiful girls over here..),Vallah..!

5)Dubai is a car lover paradise,you name the car and you will find it over here..hummers,suv's,ferrari's..!

I guess that will be it for now,will keep adding on as and when I come across more impressions of life @IMT-D.

Sun Shinning..We Dancing..!!

We had our orientation day for all the universties in D.I.A.C and boy we had fun...

The Day Started off with presentations regarding our safety and health related issues @D.I.A.C then we had a Career oriented session where we interacted with a c.e.o of a brand management firm which manages brands such as burj dubai,Emmar and so on,was fun interacting with him,then we had our lunch after which we proceeded for the Dj day..

The Situation was this,it was scorching sun here in dubai but with the carnival mode in air,no one seem to care..now just to give u an idea we have more than 10 Universties from around the world just side by our campus,so we have nationalties from all over the world french,American,Indians,Philipinos and so on..and once Dj started playing,there was no holidng us back but guess what song took the day away...and rocked the party it was "Singh is King" and splly that ohh everlasting singh is king step..really was fun with all the IMT-Junta joining in the fun..

Studies Updates:

Work load is starting to increase now..with orientation programmes ending and we settling in dubai.Its about time I also picked up my books..

We had our freshers party yesterday at chi lounge one of the best discs in dubai and IMTianns rocked through the night...will try to share a more detailed version of the party soon..

Hi Spirit...

I see your spirits have soared since you have reached Dubai.

I was off pagalguy for a while. Read your experiences after landing up in Dubai.

I hope you are having a great time. Was really impressed by your optimism that 10 years down the line our cities will be the same. It was heartening to see that we already have reached a level where Indians from Urban areas are no longer awed by the glitter of a foreign land cos we already have it here.

If the government slashes that 200% duty, atleast we can also see some 300km/h club Ferraris and Lambos in Mumbai and Delhi...and that would be fun...

I hope you will soon have an opportunity to ride in one....

Rest enjoy your time in the B school in that diamond in the desert...Dubai...
