The 12 months program at SMOT commenced with a Out Bound Training (OBT) at Deenabandhupuram ( Andhra Pradesh) and it was a funfilled event focussing on the personal skills for 3 days. It was a remote village and the stay was in a IT Development centre maintained by an NGO. We reached the place through train from chennai.

We had a small trek too during OBT. We played plenty of games and it was something like the Initial Learning Program from TCS ...We had our inagural function 7th May '08 and CK Ranganathan CEO cavin kare had come to address us. He gave us a honest and a candid talk !!!

For the inaguration of 4T4 batch Indian Bank chairman was present. There is a lot more to come and watch this space !!!

We do have regular chill out sessions every month and its a good experience / atmosphere in the class ....every one is experienced and they are from different industries ....

We have 4 permanent faculty and many visiting faculty from various industries.

SMOT offers 12 months program named as PGPM4T3 and 16 months program named PGPM4T4. There is difference in the course content , the only difference between the two course is the time line.It has
MOU with St Marys university ,Canada which is one among the top universities at canada.

The SMOT campus is in perungudi,chennai.Its a new campus and 25% of course will be taken by foreign lectures from Canada through the MOU with CAMC, Canada. The average work experience of the current 12 months program PGPM4T3'08 batch is 30 months.

SMOT offers Finance, Marketing and IT & operations as specializations. We have students from diverse backgrounds like Banking,IT,BPO,Hospitality,FMCG etc.. The students must take GMAT / CAT. If the students have not taken any of these exams , they must appear for SMOT Entrance Exam.

Days at SMOT are superb! We do have frequent chill out sessions where we can interact with professors.We have frequent guest lectures from CEO's to middle level managers. We have forums and blogs. It can be viewed from the following link SMOT Board - Index.The students are from various companies like TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank ,SSS , Tero Technology, ITC ,Verizon , Accenture , Infosys and many others.SMOT's has a career vertical super specialization.

The credits you gain at SMOT,can be used to do an EMBA at Sobey School Of Business,Canada which is one of the top b-schools in canada. The course is most suited for experienced professionals and with in a short span of time SMOT has emerged to greater heights because of the course value and the management's candid approach.

Hey guys...
Vishal Bothra from SMOT 4T3 08 Batch.
Its been a great experience till now and expecting a lot a more outta this program...
The classroom session is so so informative..which proves SMOT worth.

We have chill out session,get together,charity ...Its like a Team Buliding process within our team.

Trust me it helps for buliding a team & also bonding within us...

SMOT is become more a kinnda family as we stay close to 14 hours a day...Most of the time!
