Wonder how many of these instis. have that kind of intl. numbers)
- 90% of batch getting salary greater than 10 L
- 175k USD highest international salary
- 29L highest domestic salary
- Names like Arthur D Little, Dresdner Kleinwort, KPMG, Microsoft, Olam International, Oliver Wyman, OCBC Bank, & Reuters
- 3 years in a row has IIM K got highest average salary after the big 3
Come on! lets give it to people when they have done well! Looking at the numbers above, which i doubt will be fudged: That these guys have done well is a no brainer!! Feeling strongly your institute is a wonderful thing!! Kudos for that! Ridiculing others even when they do well is a little sad! Maybe accepting others success, is not one of the strengths of current MBAs. FMS may have that high a salary, afterall they have only 90 odd students unlike other schools with twice or more students!! Fair enuff! Give it to them! Nonetheless, congratulations on wonderful placements for your institute. I pasted the data from the above report! I am sure others will have some great numbers to talk about too! How much truth is there in what some of the institutes say is anybody's guess! But being the optimist that one should be: May the market see the reality!! It always does!!! |
Hey dude,
Firstly chill out...

In my post I have never tried to belittle any institute.
As budding managers we must all know that a 50K difference in salaries does not mean much (maybe yes for prospective students but not for us) and I definitely was not trying to highlight that...
I said congos to all colleges wholesomely and if you felt there was something sarcastic or ridiculing about it, I apologise for the same.. All I have done is list the course of events..
Congos to IIMK too for their awesome offers

But I believe blame must be equally given to the persons who gave your press releases for bringing this ambiguity in the minds of readers..
Please find below the link which says IIMK's average salary increased 16% from 12.8 Lacs to 14.83 lacs..
MBA Placement 2008 | IIM Kozhikode
12.8 Lacs last time was your average and I repeat not average domestic salary which was 11.76 Lacs..
Making a comparison with 12.8 Lacs and conviniently omitting the word domestic does tend to make us assume what is being revealed is average and not average domestic salary..
Please find below another link for one of your other claims
MBA Placement 2007
Last year definitely does not look like you were the best after top 3 though not sure which according to you is top 3 as that itself is highly debatable
Let me be very honest and I am not trying to stir a hornet's nest by contesting your claims..
I only made observations based on the available data and what I read in the media..
Everyone knows all the institutes here are very reputable and we do not need to get into mud slinging amongst one another.
Who knows if destiny has it we will be working together as the best collegues

And please no more discussions based on opinions or unconfirmed sources please..
Yes if you do have any reliable data contesting mine which does prove that you were the highest after "Top3" from past 3 years please do send in your reply.
Also if possible please ask your media cell to add the domestic clause so as to prevent any such confusions in future..
And finally kudos to all institutes and to IIMK esp for the awesome international placements..
To be frank I would have been proud to be a part of any of the 4 institutes..
