My GD PI experience :
Slot: Mumbai 17th Feb

GD: Pretty orderly...topic based on a company which had introduced a social responsibility program and hence the productivity itself suffered...what went wrong? and what should be done?..
Two profs...one elderly prof and a lady..one GLakes flitting in and out..
Pretty orderly....though after a while the points kept getting repeated...the profs asked each of us to summarize...30 seconds...and then threw a similar situation involving a small company..again all of us had to speak for 30 seconds..thought i made a few structured points..but as most of us made pretty decent points, hard to figure if i got noticed...:huh:

PI: got whisked away from the GD into the PI...hardly a 1 min gap in between...one elderly lady..and one prof who hardly spoke..
same questions: why Mba? why from GLIM? do you think you can handle the pressure? tell me about your background? tell me about the situation described in your essay?
( ..everything was a repetition of stuff i had already written somewhere or the other in the essays...felt like they were cross-checking if i were really the person who wrote the essays...

handled the PI pretty well..though felt at one point or the other that i was talking too much....

they did not ask me ANYTHING about my acads or extracurriculars...
grilled me on my job profile though...

so how did the other puys do? post your experiences junta..

Hi People..

I 'd my session on 15th at 8 AM in Mumbai.

had to rush from PUNE at 4 am in Morning

Tough job but that explains the how badly I need the seat.

Reached there in time. ... we were 15 total divided into two groups ..

Mine had 7 aspirants..

we got the scorecard verified and waited for our GD (Case Study)..

it was case based on relocation of a sick auto service unit and we'd to negotiate the deal on behalf of labor union to convince the management for not shifting the same and suggest about revival of unit.

we'd two guys who never knew the difference between GD and Extempore...

One guy repeated his own view at least each view was repeated 5 times....other one said it's a manufacturing unit and there is no need to be in city but outskirts will serve perhaps he was MD of Company and changed the business.

Moderators intervened number of times and asked fellow students to share their views...

I was never asked by moderator to put any views .. don't know it was positive or negative.. I was feeling down on the same..

Honestly don’t know what was my rating..

then 24 points for psychometric test.. Rated the most and least likely situation there.

then a little wait for interview..

Started with tell me about yourself..

I was explaining ... they intervened and asked about Market research partner and how we convince clients about new products.

Number of good questions but everywhere they asked to stick to one or two points..

If I'd to select a product manager what are two qualities that are must and which one lead to rejection of candidate..

Whether Indian Managers are good or Foreign Managers...

What you'll learn out of fellow students and what fellows will learn from you..

why MBA ? What will you be after an Year?

What is your dream job and company?

What specialiostaion..

I give you a job in NGO what you'll do?

what is more productive learning by students .. or faculty?

what INDIA needs products for masses?

My hobby was sudoku?

one panelist asked .. I don't know anything about SUDOKU? Explain what is it...

What are the other calls you got?

what is responsible entrepreneur?

my Family Back ground?

one question you want to ask?

I remember this many questions and faced them all satisfactorily..

All in all a Good Interview. I’m happy with it.

Waiting for the results...

Thanks to GOD for the nice answers which strike me. Since there is no right or wrong answer to these questions.

When I had my interview and asked the admin committee, they said the results would be out soon after all interivews are over. Are all interviews over?

Also, the college has a buffer of 50 days for working professionals. So I think its high time to declare the results.

gd was a case study
we were 8/9 ppl
the first person started it of well but cudnt take it fwd 2 well .....
we dicussed like that fr 4-5 minutes
the moderator chipped in and asked each of us to speak , he anounced like ..whats ur view-this person will speak......

case was wkin conditions in bharat forge
sm gud ppoints were made by the team
