Greetings from Team Intaglio!

Intaglio, IIM Calcutta’s Annual International B-school Meet, is now a celebrated name across all B-school events – unofficially acknowledged as the doyen of all such meets across the country and region.

In accordance with our motto of 'Reaching out, Staying ahead', Team Intaglio is launching its e-contest initiative especially for pagalguy.com users in association with Pagalguy.Its an effort on our team's part to connect with thousands of B-school alumni, B-schoolers and most importantly the B-school aspirants from all over the country! For a period of 7 days from Dec 27,2007 18:00:00 hours to Jan 3,2008 18:00:00 hours we bring 7 exciting contests for all pagalguy.com users. Each day at 6 pm, we will launch a new contest- it maybe a crossword, it may be a quiz or it may be a game - but one thing for sure- IT WOULD BE EXCITING .

Rules and conditions:
a)You need to have a pagalguy userID.
b) Grand prize winner will be picked from a lucky draw in which people who have answered 3 contest questions out of the 7 contests perfectly will be entered in.
c)Please send all your answers from one emailID only.
d)Decision of the Judges will be final and binding.

Daily Prizes: 5 Lucky Winners each day will get IIMC Intaglio T-Shirts!

Today we launch WINTAGLIO # 2 !!!!
Its a Game similar to Monopoly and is called Economatrix! The game gives u a flavour of the Amazing games launched by Team Intaglio for the B schoolers this year ....

Deadline for entries: December 29, 2007 18:00:00 hrs

Basic Instructions:
1) This event is a monopoly like board game, in which you will begin from the ‘Start’ block at the left bottom of the board.
2) You can see different areas of the world on the board, with each continent represented by a different color. Each area has a different category of questions as mentioned on the game page.
Asia represents questions on Basic Economics and Demand and Supply.
North America represents questions on Markets and Prices.
South America represents questions on Competitive Markets.
Africa represents questions on Government Policies.
Europe represents questions on National Income Accounting
Australia has questions on Risk and Uncertainty and International Economics.
3) All categories of questions have 3 difficulty levels, namely, easy, medium and difficult. While you progress in the game, you will encounter questions of any random difficulty level.
4) 30 questions will be randomly generated from a large database for each play of the game. Participants can play the game as many times as they want, and submit multiple entries.

HOW TO PLAY

Playing the game
1) To begin with, click on ‘Roll the dice!’ at the top, and a question will be generated based on the continent of the city on which you land up.
2) Select the correct option by CLICKING on it and then click on the submit button next to it.
3) After submitting your answer you need to click on ‘Roll the dice’ again to generate a new question.


4) The swap option: In case you are not confident about attempting a question, you may use the swap option, which will allow you to generate a new question and half the amount deducted for generation of the original question will be refunded back. However, this option can be exercised only once for a particular landing in a city.
5) There are various blocks like ‘Chance?’ and ‘Community Chest’ that will give you certain extra benefits. Utilize them to the maximum to your benefit.
Maximizing your income
1) You will start the game with balance money of 1500.
2) A fixed amount of 50, 100 and 150 along with a variable amount directly proportional to your money left and difficulty level will be deducted for generating an easy, medium, difficult question respectively.
3) If you answer the question correctly you will be awarded a fixed amount of 150, 300 and 450 respectively for low, medium and difficult questions along with a variable amount directly proportional to your money left and difficulty level. And in case you answer it wrongly, you end up forfeiting the amount paid for generating the question.
4) You will be shown the range of the money left with you on the game page, and your position on the board would be indicated with stack of coins on the game page.




Exiting the game
1) You may quit the game anytime you feel you have generated enough revenues.
2) In case you run out of money to generate new questions, your game will automatically end there.
3) After you have attempted 30 questions, the game will automatically end.

Submission of entries
1) All participants must submit their 20 digit code generated at the end of the game by 18:00 hrs IST on Saturday, December 29, 2007.
2) Please mail us this game code along with your name, name of your institute/organization, your contact details, and your pagalguy id.
2) All entries with the above information must be mailed to wintaglio@gmail.com, with subject line "wintaglio <pagalguy id> 2".
