Hi all!!
I found this thread and I was really surprised to see no 1st year student manager pitching in to share "Life @ IMT-N"..
Well..as shared by you all seniors,it feels good to see the level of participation and the committment towards sharing few facts about how life goes on at IMT-N.
Even we juniors have now come to terms with "not so rigorous" schedule ,along with twice a week evaluations in Organisational Behaviours, Assignments , quizzes, class evaluations, role plays, projects etc..
Although when i joined, the orientation was over and the classes had started,I must appreciate the help we got from seniors and the management to adjust here.
As it has been mentioned in the earlier posts, the infra is good and it feels really satisfying when you take a walk along in the mornin..the trees, various brick colored blocks, the roads, the wild flowers all add up to the beauty and peace of the campus..
Not jus studies, but IMtians are also very active when it comes to extra curricular activities, be it Krazzy Floor(The Dance Competition), Movie Screenin, and now Runbhoomi followed by Mile Stone 34 and 35..
You see many things here...studyin hard, chattin, discussin, notice boards loaded with info and rules, watchin movies, playin, gossipin, preparin for mid terms, loud music, co-op, walkin after dinner, and the list goes on...

Good going, Parul!
Let's keep the thread full of life @ IMT-N.
Today we had inauguration of annual sports festival, RUN-BHOOMI.
The event opened with our dean Dr. Anwar Ali giving a pledge for fair play to all 15 teams who participated in the event. each team contains 17 players, out of which 4 are girls. We have football, volleyball, basket ball, french cricket, throw-ball and table tennis matches lined up through the night. Yes, IMT-Nagpur has the sports event starting in evening and continuing through the night, till early morning; and all this with our regular classes, tests and presentations going on in the daytime.
Boss, we are becoming the real managers, managing it all. If you look at the campus now, it is all brightly shining in the halogen light the whole night. You will see people wearing tea-shirts with the team name and slogans written on them. Student managers sitting/standing besides the field, some of them preparing for tests/presentations in between the games with their dockets/laptops in hand, discussing matches and cases alike with each other, some bringing water and juices for the players, with our students' co-operative store open all night... its a phenomenal sight to look at.
The highlight of this year's RUNBHOOMI was the volleyball match between the Sports Committee and Faculty members. Yes, the faculty members played a full 3-game volleyball match and some of them really surprised us by their play and overflowing enthusiasm! Bhattacharya Sir's perfect service, Mohanty sir's overall performance, Gajavelli sir, Gadgil sir, Manimay Ghosh sir, Veena ma'm and other faculty members' enthusiasm and sportsman spirit excited all the student managers. They were cheering for students and faculty alike.
This session was followed by various matches. In fact, matches are going on when I'm writing all this here. I wish all the best to all the players for winning as well for keeping the spirit of IMT alive. we are the future of leadership... WE ROCK!!!

Look if you are gonna ask some IMT nagpur guy he is definitely gonna tell you yes
But the truth is its really difficult to rank the colleges after the top few. Because every source will give different rankings.
IMT nagpur is not a old one just that the management is same as of ghaziabad. But last year the college has taken some real good students so it now qualifies the peer group condition. But lets see the placements match that level or not. Well my friend is there he told me that totally new committee is being formed so as to provide good placements.
Don't AIM for a single SUCCESS,........... Make it your HABIT.....

Hi Meghana here.
yes, IMT Nagpur is ranked amongst first 20 private bschools in India in last year's survey by Outlook and this year's survey by MINT.
whatever you read on website is absolutely right.
The institute has great infrastructure, good faculty and a good talent pool in terms of students.
yes, i admit placement is a bit of a questionmark, in our senior batch, almost 100% got placed, lets see how we get placed.
about IMT Calcutta, it is going to open shortly, it is not operating yet. so only time will tell about the rankig and placements.
I hope this helps you in your choice.
