Life is full of colors at Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad
Attached is one such image - a rainbow as seen from my hostel room on the 7th floor.
Have you ever studied for 3 hrs in a library on a lazy Sunday afternoon?
We all did that last sunday
Life is fun here
More things coming soon, as more batchmates will join PG in some days
PS: Thanks to my friends Raghav and Kaushik for the snap.

1st July is here We had many guest lectures during our induction, one was by TCS Delivery Center Head of Gujarat. 3 years back I joined TCS on the same day, 1 July, and now I was here in a B school listening to IT Industry expectations from an MBA!
The green campus of Nirma is a perfect place to do yoga and meditation. We did have some sessions from Brahmakumaris during our induction and mostly from next week we'll be having Art of Living Sessions early morning!!
Prof. Ram Kumar from IIM A also gave some awesome gyaan on Marketing as if the future mattered! during our first late night session of the program, 9:30 PM to 11 PM. It was very insightful and an eye opener abt the current and future markets.
In extra currics, Cricket, Basketball and my fav Football is already making us feel fitter and active Playing football while it is drizzling has its own charm
Monsoon Rains, Football, Guest Lectures, Quizzes, Assignments, Group Tasks and Lectures!!!! Phew!
Life is really picking up pace and we all thought life in Bombay was faster than life at a B school
Gotta sleep now, have a cricket match at 7 am

Quizzes, Assignments, Classes and then more Quizzes... 1 month is over!
Apart from these, Club selection activities has picked up pace since past two weeks - Marketing, HR, IT, Finance, Movie, Placements, Cutural, Dramatics and many more clubs/committees Planning to get one of the committees, and BTW I gave a presentation abt Moderating PG.com in the HR club last week!
Mr. T.N.Seshan, ex CEC of India, was in the campus yesterday and delivered a wonderful humorous-sarcastic-insightful speech on India - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow!
Mid Term exams are expected in next two weeks, so it's gonna be crunch time soon
I'll be back soon with some pics abt the "wildlife" in the Campus | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Mahip For This Useful Post:

Hi all
Dont look at the time....
Now this is our regular time to hit the sack...as we have so much of work load, so many things to do in so less time Movies, Counter Strike, Football, TT, and assignments(that too to be done ourselves, how can u expect such thing from Engineers ),studies (which we seldomly do )...
But this place is really cool....as our 'Respected' Mod Mahip has already mentioned about the lush green campus.....we will be publishing more snaps soon, we are try to click birds but they are not very supportive and are not ready to give some good poses...till then manage with flora and fauna of our campus
Our Midterms are also approaching, but still we are far away from studies...Lets see what happens.... | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to itsmerusty For This Useful Post:

Its a nice cloudy day here at NIM. The rain gods are benevolent and I have nothing to do. Pretty dull day actually!!! However with each passing day , there are times when I realise Ill miss so much once I am out of this place. Its in times like these , when I am all alone in my room, that I get to do what I like best. I get to write!!! So with the awesome cheese bread I got from my vendor(cud'nt find a better icon) lemme brief you with what all have we folks been doing. The year began with 5 students of NIM winning the SIFE regionals in Mumabi. Some of the best BSchools like NITIE, XIMB,NMIMS,KJSOMAYA took part in the competition
We actually were in the top 7 teams selected from 50 teams nationally. . Oh Boy!! were we happy!!! However we lost the nationals. Loyola College won and will be representing India in the international competition in US this September.
Its actually the third time that a team from NIM has made it big at SIFE. Last year our team was the first runner up. I guess the fachhas have to do a lot of planning for next year.
Well it actually speaks a lot about the culture of our insitute as well. Its not about money at the end of the day. Its about making a difference to the society you are a part of Students in Free Enterprise is a forum ,internationally, that looks for students who can in their own ways bring back life to the underprivileged sections of the society. The NGO we worked for was Manav Sadhna. Their Earn and Learn program helps kids from RamoPirno Tekro , the largest slum in Gujarat to earn money by making cards and providing them with quality education. “Hold fast to your dreams for if dreams die, life is like a broken winged bird that cannot fly.” The smile that we have got on their faces is worth the effort that we put it. Trust me at the end of the day; nothing can compare the experience we had at Manav Sadhna. It makes one so conscious of our duty towards society but more importantly towards ourselves!!The event was organized by Syntel and had sponsors like KPMG, Reliance Money, HSBC etc. We were able to meet some of the stalwarts from the industry and they really appreciated our work. The entire campus was so happy when we came back. Trust me it was scary. I mean we were 5 of us in a car and an entire crowd of 50 odd students came to wish us before we were leaving. The day the results for the regional round were announced we just could not believe that we had made it to the top 7 in the country. Sms, Calls…We got so many best wishes from the IM-NU family. Oh ,,,did I mention the finals were in Grand Hyatt , Mumbai?? It was an opportunity of a lifetime and I am glad, I could be a part of it. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to kaptivate For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
