After a hectic week of number-crunching and some creative writing :new_ukliam2:, we were finally FREE to freak out yesterday. Everyone headed out to places like Pondicherry, Mahabalipuram etc and had a blast! I'm just back frm Mahabali myself. But college (2nd trimester) starts tomorrow as per schedule, unless there's a Govt-declared holiday, news abt which we are eagerly awaiting.
Will soon upload a few pics that symbolize the 3-odd months gone by.
With trimester exams past, most ppl are engrossed with extras like working for Insight, Business Plan Contest, etc. A SPELLING BEE was conducted 2 days back by the "Beyond Management" club, and we had belated Onam celebrations today with traditional dances, awesome sadhya food and lotsa good looking LIBAites all around...
LIBArated, our intra-college cult-fest will be conducted in 2 weeks' time. Shud be fun...
Besides, MindWorks, the Quizzing Club will also come up with quizzes and debates very soon...
Things are heating up as we approach yet another edition of the cult-fest LIBArated. This year, the theme for the fest is "Fight Night" with a boxing ring being setup right in front of the open-air theatre. With fashion shows, song n dance competitions, a performance by the two college bands, and lotsa other events lined up, this year promises to be the best LIBArated ever.
Besides, the finance and hr clubs have come out with their newsletters "Finance Matters" and "Synergy".
Also attaching a few pics of the Onam Celebrations...
XAT percentile is not taken into consideraton for final selection after the calls are issued... Ur final selection to LIBA therefore depends on how u have fared for the GD/PI n ur profile... There is no special preference for anyone during this stage...
Hope that clears ur doubts.. All the best!!
is there any resrvation for catholics at liba...sum say 50% seat for catholic
To answer your question, yes there are seats reserved for catholics at LIBA since it is a minority institute. Though the no. of seats is not fixed, we do find this number being close to 45% this year.
Having said that, I would like to point out that a number of private MBA institutes have a certain percentage of seats reserved as "Management" quota. We are proud to point out that no such quota exists at LIBA. Besides, almost all central MBA institutes have 50% reservation now anyway.

The exact procedure for this is outlined very neatly in a different post by Royston, which I'm posting here:
"But being part of the minority institution and as part of it social commitment to the catholic community the cut-offs are reduced for catholic students. Once the cut-off stage is cleared there is no preference for anyone. It entirely depends on the GD/PI..."
