hey pepole!!!

Posting on PG after quite a few days...That's cause the past few days at LIBA have been the most hectic n spectacular days of my LIBA life... Yeah it was the placement week for the seniors....

N my, the placement scenario rockedwith some of the biggest companies on campus with even better profiles... More precise details about the placement week will be given by praveen or varkey shortly..

It feels good to be a part of an institution that is increasingly being recognised in industry circles for the quality and ethical managers LIBA offers, which was even more evident with the large no of companies from all sectors that came for the placement week....

N other first this year during the placement week was that the entire placement week effort for the seniors was co-ordinated by the first years... The high that one gets in helping the seniors to get placed in their dream companies is one that is beyond any can give you........

Finally cheers to everyone on the placement team for a work well done...

hey vijay vino nice to know that u r interested in LIBA.............anyways as already royston has said there is another thread about LIBA admission 2008 that caters to all questions about the cutoffs, seats etc.....any ways I will answer your question about cut off score the cut off was around 91.5 percentile.

Sorry all for not posting for long...just catching up on some sleep offlate...and busy with term exams...
To start off with placements...
Placements started and ended with a bang....with all the students placed in their dream companies...with dream profiles... over a couple of hours....this year has seen a huge leap in the avg pay...Also this years placements was characterised by students sidelining IT(among the favourites at LIBA last year) and opting for domains like FMCG,Consulting, I- Banking , Manufactuing,Treasury, Equity Research and Real Estate ...

Another point to note about this years placements ....was that 50% of the companies were new recruiters.... A clear indicator of the growing trust the corporate world is having in LIBA products....

Anyways guys...An indepth report would be published in Jan 1st week...
Kudos to all the first years for running the placement week so well....

Hi All..
Am glad to give you more insights into Placements 08...Like i mentioned earlier..This year's Placement week saw over 70 companies confirming participation for a batch of 110 students...Though only around 34 cos could recruit the batch of 08.
Placements 08 saw excellent profiles and higher pays being offered leaving students in a fix as to which company or profile to take up

Recruiters like SEBI, HSBC, Citi Bank, Deloitte, Adventity, Irevna, CB Richard Ellis, JLLM, etc. created quite a buzz on Campus offering profiles in Consulting, I-Banking, Equity research, Derivatives Modelling, Credit Risk, Treasury Management , Brand Management , Market and IPO compliance, Structuring of derivative products, FII inflow/outflow analysis, Rural Marketing, Commercial Banking etc.

Some of the Recruiter were

This years average pay also saw a steep increase of over 20% over last years average of 6 lakhs.

That was the euphoric scene about placements 08 at LIBA straight from the horses mouth....What more to say but WOW!:grab:

As of now we are in the midst of our exams... So really busy...Got Operations Management tommorow...

hey guys!!!

So back at LIBA after the christmas vacation to what possibly will be the most hectic trimester so far in the course for the PGP 1 batch... N adding to the numerous course assignments, case studies that have already started piling up wihin 3 days of the new term, there are a lot of other activities coming up..

First we have the celebration for Pongal that is going to be held o the 14th of this month... Augusthus(the one responsiblefor the pongal celebration) has promised that this pongal is going to be something worth remembering.... A no of competitions like rangoli, colour crazy, mehendi will be part of the events for pongal...

The much awaited n talked about event in college this days is the declamation contest on 18th, which is preceeding the National Conference on Corporate Governance which is going to be held on the 25th.... Much of the excitment about the declamation contest is due to the huge 50:crazyeye: thousand prize money at stake...

So with 3 main events lned up fr this month January at LIBA is really hot!!!!!!!

Hello ppl,

as roy has mentioned this trimester is slated to be the most rocking trimester for the first year students until now with loads of actvities happening throughout the trimester....

everyone is busy in activities such as--the much contested declamation contest with lotta prize money to be won...working on the various innovative games to be held for Chrysallis.....the pongal celebrations{Augustus spearheading the team}....students gearin up for the Corporate Governance conference....

and voila....we still have time for all the academic activities...
must really be sayin that life @ LIBA really ROCKS..
