The process started on 19th Dec on which the presentations, group discussion's and written tests of the companies were conducted followed by the day zero i.e. 20th Dec. Placements 2007 saw tremendous rush at TAPMI.


Placements 2007 saw tremendous rush at TAPMI. There were 19 PPTs and 81 GDs on 19th Dec. A total of 42 companies participated in the campus placement process, and made a total of 184 offers to 127 students. Students exercised their choice and accepted offers in 38 companies.


Among the largest recruiters on campus were Cognizant (19), Infosys (16), IBM (10), Irevna (7), Citigroup (6), HSBC Bank (5), and VSNL (5). Among the industry sectors, IT, Consulting and Financial Services (including Banking) were the major recruiters.

Hope u r doing good. I have applied to TAPMI with a GMAT score of 620. I am BE (Comp Sc) and did my PG from IIT Kgp. I have got 2.5 yrs of work ex and have worked for some of the big shots in IT industry.

Can I expect a call for GD/PI with this profile ?

Well brother, u can definately expect a call from TAPMI for interviews any time in feb... Where r u working rt now?

The average salary offered this year was Rs. 6.66 lakhs, an increase of 16% over the previous year. The highest salary was Rs. 9.25 lakhs (Rs. 7.75 lakhs in Placement 2006).

Some of the companies that visited the TAPMI campus for the first time included IBM, HSBC Bank, VSNL, I-flex, Covansys, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, JP Morgan Chase, Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), Idea Cellular, Perfetti Van Melle, United Breweries and Patni Computer Systems.

i've applied to tapmi online.....i've taken the CAT but it was a major disaster....it seems tapmi is gonna take GRE scores too this time around....i've got a 1440....how good or bad is that or tapmi? i have decent extracurriculars and stuff

Let me tell you dude... its correct that TAPMI is going to take CAT/GRE/GMAT scores into consideration.. well as far as a call for interview is concerned you can get a call.. keep your fingers crossed..
As far as TAPMI's is concerned.. it is renowned for its hectic schedule, its theme structure instead of sems... and discipline... Discipline and honesty is what you require more than anything else.. Doing the smart work is the key here... Gud Luk..
