Here come Goonj '09 - an intra TAPMI musical competition. I still could remember what has happened in last year Goonj. Though our team didn't win Goonj '08, but we do fill the memory of all. Yes. Ask any TAPMIans, they would be rembering the one and only section-3 for their amusing performance in Goonj '08. Not only students, even faculties were thrilled by our performance .
Let's wait and watch, what is gonna happen today evening in Goonj '09. Whatever it is, I am gonna have fun . Okies..... Let me move now to get prepared for Goonj

Re: Life @ TAPMI..... - 01-11-2009, 05:47 PM

Yesterday TAPMI hosted its first HR conclave 'DISHA 09', organised by our very own HR forum. DISHA played host to a number of corporates which included HR heads of organizations such as Radio Mirchi, Perot Systems, Prudential, Infosys BPO, Titan, Polaris and TESCO to new a few.

It was an eventful day with presentations and interactive sessions between the corporates and students on a plethora of topics concerning HR in today's evolving industrial environment and Talent Management. Panel Discussions and presentations were not just informative but also eye-openers bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Disha also played host to an inter-bschool paper presentation and mock press contest which had participation from colleges such as IIM-K, IMT Nagpur and SIMSR. The team from SIMSR finally took the top honors. Kudos to them !
Our very own team from TAPMI gave them a good run for their money.
Overall a day well spent with a great dinner to put the icing on the cake.

Puys,

I have totally forgot the word called "break"..... that too last five days, oops! I am tired, but filled with loads of knowledge . There is no doubt that Life @ TAPMI is "episodical". Here is an example:

Oct 28: Goonj'09 - Intra TAPMI music competition
Oct 29: NGO Presentations
Oct 30: Talk by our own alumni, Mr. Manish Shakalya, National Manager - Supply Chain, Cadbury's India Limited
Oct 31: Disha '09 - The HR Conclave
Nov 1: PaGaLGuy @ TAPMI - Consonance '09
Nov 2: Ooops..... I thought I'll be relieved, but I had to accompany the guests for tomorrow' function
Nov 3: National Seminar
Nov 4: ???????

Now you would have realized, why I said "I forgot the word called "Break"? You tell me, do I deserve to have a break? Ho.... Ho.... I can hear some voice from my back, NOOOOOOOO! Hmmn....

But you know, amidst all these things, still i'm having fun..... why missing fun by wanting a break!!!!

Can't you guess, why I am so happy today? Ho... Ho... Ho.... It's Homecoming'09 today. TAPMI calling all its alumni to recollect their memorable moments. Having seen 100+ alumni across batches already, the number is expected to go up by another 50+ by today night. Guess what? Today night, the much expected and awaited "Alumni Bash" going to attract all the super-superseniors, superseniors, seniors and of course the current batch. And, I can only warn "WestInd Club" that "Beware of TAPMIans". The fun has already started with MusicCom and ChoreoCom have given their best of cultural evenings. Now it's time for - - - - - - - - - - .

After the eventful Homecoming, now it's time for BrandScan to showcase their material. Having run successfully for more than 15 years, BrandScan always brought numerous changes in the ways students think about the customers. Also, being one of the India's market research fairs, BranScan '09 would definitely bring some more excitement in TAPMIans life in coming weeks. FYI BrandScan fever has already started spreading. Trust me, this is the only one fever you would like to get affected

With just a day to go to BrandScan and all teams preparation in full flow, we had a surprise guest lecture by our alumnus Mr. Hisham Raheem (2006 batch) currently working as a TQM advisor to a petrochemicals company on 'Islamic Banking'. Various points from the differences between Islamic banking and conventional banking to the history and scope of Islamic bankin in the current and future requirements were discussed. Back to BrandScan .....
