can you shed some light on the placements situation at IMT Dubai. The website does not have any information about region of placement, salaries, companies etc. Are students able to get jobs in India after graduation. Perhaps you talked to some people in the first graduated batch?

1. Yeah it is mandatory to live in IMT Residential Campus until and unless your parents live in Dubai.

2.IMT Dubai is moving to its new residential academic campus from this academic year and its in academic city,food is not included in the fee and will be charged extra,we have been told that we will have a mess in the new campus,so i doubt that you can cook,and as far as the IN time is concerned i am not pretty sure about it as this is the first time we will be operating from new campus.

3.IMT Dubai is now a recognized University and it provided its own MBA degree,and no its not an extension of IMT ghaziabad.

4.HR specialization is being started for the first time at IMT Dubai.

5.IELTS is acceptable from what i have heard u need to have a score of minimum six in IELTS but i would request you to please confirm it with student services cell @IMT dubai.

6.Passport thing I am not sure.

Hi There,

Yeah I can understand that there is not much information available on the website..and this one of the major hurdle that I faced during my research on IMT dubai,but senior students over there have been more than kind enough to let us all know of the placement scenario over there..with this being the first batch that has passed out of IMT dubai,the placements have been pretty good..the avg package over there has been of 12lac INR..with quite a good corporates turning up for placements,There have been placements in India as well,the prominenet that I have heard of is ICICI Prudential..the pkg was around 8 lac or so...

My Advice is that you wont find the placements that exciting to you as its a new college..so just check out your career aspirations on what you think you want to be and does IMT Dubai fit into your picture,cause after all its your life and your decision..

In Case you want to enquire more about IMT D..you can chek out the orkut community that we have created..loads of senior students and class of 2010 members are active over there.....

Please do look back a couple of pages in this thread and you would want all the information that we have regarding placements for the class of 2008,i wouldn't like to quote here again my seniors @IMT,so please do go thru this thread to get a gist of IMT-d.
