First thing, there is a lab in DMS, but then it is better to have a system in hostel for u have 24 hr connectivity in hostel which u can exploit. If you want to exploit the mobility factor too, go for laptop cos its the best way to carry around ur data which u need the most, n in case u join the Health Care Management course by Prof. Kachnowski, it ll b used for the online classes...

Foreign assignment in terms of training or a few months is not counted as a foreign offer, but work at foreign shores is. There have been companies which said they would train ppl outside India, these have not been counted as foreign offers.

Profilles myth haunts u till u join. Every company comes with openings in verticals like Marketing, Finance etc... n sometimes some work-ex would help perform in that job better, like say CRM, Financial Analyst in some cases... In such cases, the candidates are selected for higher levels, this is called Lateral Placement. So, freshers are offered every profile as work-ex, just that work-ex ppl escalate, quite deservingly, based on their prev work.

U dont need to wear formals in classes n lectures, but u need to make sure u dont wear outrageous stuff, else u wud b at the recieving end of prof's ire :P n during guest lectures n seminars n stuff, Formals r necessary!

Hi I did mention abt the Foreign Offers... We do have Foreign Offers, and we had this time too! It is mentioned in our Placement Release also. The following is the article on Placements in our Official Business Magazine CHAOS: Every batch that goes out of a B-School leaves behind its indelible mark on the batches to come and the placements the batch secures is one of the metrics the batches to come look up to. Here is an indicative list of the companies where the 1st year guys are doing their summers right now:

It gives me immense pleasure and great satisfaction to announce the launch of CHAOS 2007. CHAOS - Creative and Holistic Approach to Organisation Systems - is the Annual Business Magazine of IIT Delhi, published by the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi.

Hello guys ,

could anyone of u tell me ,abt the eqvivalent CAT score of the people ,who get admission in to management school of IIT's ....i am getting around 92-93 percentile in mocks :(:(.....is it enough to get admission or should i need to work more (though i am not letting any stone unturned )to get through..& also how much the acedemics play their role in selection .I have very good acedemics till matric (in 80's) but after taht they sucks big times (in late 60's)...pls guide me ..& any special preparation for JMET....

Hey...

I think you cannot map CAT percentile and JMET percentile. Typically, there are people from 99+ percentile also in IITs. They either prefer MBA at IITs or luck has ditched them in IIMs. THere are also people who couldnt fare well in CAT due to one bad day. As it is, these entrance exams are different. JMET is Quant-intensive, scoring is different, verbal is different. So, its better u give a few JMET tests. If u r scoring well in them, u have a good chance!
