can u please tell me how many marks are required in IBSAT paper to get a call from Icfai - gurgaon.....

there is nothing such as minimum marks in IBSAT....and anyways marks are not disclosed.....its pretty easy though to get a interview call.so dnt worry ;-)

and fateh majority of the crowd here at icfai are freshers....and the whole approach to management education is pretty bookish, academic and non practicall -same as in any indian b school i feel.. there 20% pple who have reckonable work ex...bt thy r a small minority. no such specific background as such.....

so id advise u tht if u have relevent work ex go for better institutes or rather and the best option is go for a b school aborad...tht will b real mba education and nt just learnig theories and theories and theories.....

Well I wrote IBSAT 2006 and found it to be quite easy as compared to other tests as told by u.

Well I wanted to know a few things from u and some honest feedback .
Like currently I am with ITC Infotech ,
Bangalore and have 2.5 years of relevent software field experince and so will be fine for me
to join a B school like ICFAI as right now I want to diversify my career.
Will I be able to get a package of around the range of 4.5 to 5 Lakhs after investing time
and money at ICFAI.

Also r there any experienced people from IT field at ur center of ICFAI?

I wanted to know yar that do they give the subject of the presentation at the interview
center only or do we have to make it in advance and how tough/easy is the interview?

Can u tell me about the companies that come to recruit at ur center and what is the
average salary.

Kindly reply me as this information is very critical for me.

Hi , Abhishek , it was really great to see your zeal , you were single handedly driving this thread of yours , great spirit keep it up boss. I was working in gurgaon for 5 years before going ahead for an MBA , I have just one question to ask , and I am in no hurry at all , I just waned to ask , as you had mentioned that GOOGLE had come over for placements , can you please let me know more on this what kind of a role was it . regards shailesh

thnks for the appreciation buddy....just doing my bit for a highly misunderstood institute....as a student of it. :satisfie:

bytheway i remember i mentioned google....bt i think i meantioned it in the still scheduled to come down list.im sorry if i mentioned it as a alrdy visited recuriter.u know these schedules r nvr totally fixed.so the placemnts head says jan mid informally, bt i really am nt sure whn n wht profile it will come with....ill find out soon though once again if u require

hi fateh sorry for delay was caughtup with load of work :-?

yeah IBSAT is a piece of cake....perhaps tht why we have some really bad quality of pple ending up here along with some really good ones....

boss with ur work ex...ill again say - mba abroad .......or or or good b school in india.....if u want real education. if u want degree and job thn icfai is absolutely fine.

presentation topics list will come to u along with the interview call letter kit.dnt worry ample time given to prepare.

yeah we have some real gr8 IT bonds here(experts)...bt thn IT isnt a rosy scene here u wont really learn much......placements avrge u can expect arnd 5L by time u pass out....

if u go through this all placemnts doubts will b resolved...its very detailed along with name/designation/profile etc..

Yes , its the same drama everywhere , but quite an interesting one isnt it .. Yes in the first post you had mentioned about google , I know companies change their plans and they do reschedule and do cancel , tell me are the placements for ICFAI common or does every institute approach companies on their own ?, lastly is ICFAI gurgaon somewhere near Sector 14 . regards shailesh

nopes it in palam vihar.....was earlier in sector 21. and each centre is decentralised and on its own....bt most companies visit multiple branches.

I think ICFAI Gurgaon must be having just one center or is it having mutiple centers in Gurgaon itself. Just do let me know .
