The requirement of companies that visit IBS Gurgaon varies. But yeah, most companies do have a 60% criteria.

Hello,

I have cleared inter ca and currently working at Motilal oswal since 6 months.I wud give IBSAT, 09.I am also set to give NMAT,SNAP,XAT,CET.
I wanna know whether IBS, Gurgaon is good. How is the placement assistance and the faculty? What is the average package given to experienced finance professionals?People say IBS is not worth to do MBA.
I wanna know whether they have problems with its degree from dehradun for full time MBA.I stay in Gurgaon so i wanna IBS, Gurgaon. Is it really worth to invest 10 lacs or more in IBS, Gurgaon. What's the ROI?Please let me know as people say the prefernce shub like XLRI,JBIMS,NMIMS,SIBM,Welingkar,Dalmia,IBS.Plz clarify my query.

Dear friend there are other options available in gurgaon and not only IBS.There have been mixed reviews about IBS.You can look at ICFAI,IILM gurgaon too and IILM also provides scholarship based on your academic scores of the past.

Hi Imran,

I have got into IBS, Hyderabad. I think the faculty & placements of IBS, Gurgaon is better than alliance. So go for it.

First thing first i am doomed i never wanted ibs gurgaon. Micat was a major **** up. I don't have any other option apart from it. Scored 90.26 percentile in mat but my graduation marks are around 53.24% so i fall short in this criteria. I just want to know should i go for ibs gurgaon or are there any better options for me in mat. Given my present condition i don't have too much hope and i am on an all time low as my performance in almost all of the competitive exams has been dismal. I suppose even the good colleges in mat ask for 60% grad marks. If there are any better options than ibs gurgaon for me please let me know.

I am an MBA student at IBS Gurgaon 2008-2010 batch. I'll give you all an unprejudiced feedback about my institute.. Both the +ves and -ves:

# IBS-G Student intake is good, students have very good communication and presentation skills, besides good academic record. Students come from top notch DU colleges and engg. colleges, some by choice and others becoz they didn't clear Cat.

# 70% of the faculty is good. Rest are not.

# The campus has all the basic facilities like wifi internet, AC reading rooms, a good stocked library. However, the timings are from 10 to 5 and entry to campus is prohibited after that. It's usually dead after 5 pm. Classrooms are very good but they are locked just when classes get over.

# Recreational facilities are missing, there is no Gym or any other sports facility at all.

# Canteen is good, good food and drinks at a low cost, but it's too small to accomodate 1200+ people, it's just enough to have 100 people or less, so the mess is messy during lunch time

# Student Cell ie. the team to assist students is usually cooperative and helpful.

# SAP ie. a stipendiary assistantship program allows students to sell courses of Icfai uni and earn good stipend.

# Courseware is very good and all books are provided by the institute which also includes Case study books. These books are the same books that distance learning students get.

# There is no accomodation facility provided by the college but it has links with PG owners outside and they provide assistance is getting an outside accomodation.

# Industry interface is one thing that is more or less absent. There are no Industrial trips or any people coming from corporates and delivering lectures. It's a rarity.

# The level of classes is exceptionally good, a good amount of discussion in the classes and a lot of student involvement due to discussion based assignments.

# Besides the reading rooms(2) and the library, there are no places to sit and discuss, so students usually sit on floors and stairs and discuss.

# The annual fest held every year is a very unique 3-day event which is quite similar to events in DU colleges.

# The fees is too much for the course. It's 8.5 Lacs. Those who take loans should consider ROI criteria.

# There is a good amount of parking space for both cars and 2 wheelers.

# There is no dress code. Students usually wear formals during presentations and seminars.

# Students have formed a number of activity groups for different functional areas.

# The Palam Vihar area is good, we ahve Ansal Plaza mall having a multiplex just adjacent to the college building The locality is not too good for girls. Most of my friends have been gawked at or misbehaved with, in some way or the other. However, PGs have their own security, so there's no trouble inside.

I guess that will be it. Post more queries here for specific things

nice job
i have also qualified for ibs g
i m a biotech engg(fresher) wanted to pursue in a biotech firm like biocon/ge/siemens etc cdoes ibs g provide that kind of oppurtunity??????

HI,
I have received the results for ICFAI. I was trying for Hyderabad. But I have received three choices Gurgaon, Banglore, Mumbai. I know that they are autonomous colleges and the diploma will not be AICTE app. They are providing a flexi mode MBA degree from Universities they have in different places. I wanted to know of the three which is the best 1 in placements and faculty. Wether it is a residential program or not. And is their any wait list any for Hyderabad Campus.
